Mughals or the Afghans before them and the Turks before them who fought their way to India and immigrated to this land were warriors. They were not preachers. So, Mughals did not convert any one, at least superficially, but the Faqirs, Darveshes, Mullahs, Shaikhs, Khwajas and Syeds whose main passion was to spread Islam, had converted both high and low caste Hindus to Islam. Anyway, Islam does not accept a caste system, therefore, we do not have to care whether some were low or high. All are equal human beings.

It happened during all the dynasties, but, in case of Bengal, it seems that many local Hindus converted to Islam during the Mughal period. Emperor Akber sent about a 1000 pious Muslims to Bengal after it was occupied by his army. I agree with the statement by Captain_Planet that we all have become mixed blooded people with strains from different races as Islam encourages marriage among the races. Same thing happened to all the Muslims of the sub-Continent during their 800 years of stay.

Facts speak louder than word I believe. Hindus were once 33% of your country. Today they are barely 10%. Either they were slaughtered or they left. You will say they left. Why did the 23% Hindus leave? Persecution? Poverty? You will say they are the richest and most loyally treated section of your society and stick your head in the sand.

Hello Have you forgotten TNT ignorant indian. Those 33% you are talking about, pole vaulted across the border in 47 in love of their hindu brothers (not that anything is wrong with it). Hindus anywhere in the world are inherently loyal to india and so will always migrate to india as its a natural human instinct to be loyal to their fellow kind. Almost all hindus who live in BD have brothers/sisters and other close relatives being citizens in India and even have properties in India. I know plenty of hindus and yes its the case with majority hindus. Other reason for drop in hindu population is their birth rate , but even after all this migration and birth rate we still have about 1.5 corore hindus (10% of the population) living here happily enjoying all rights that a normal citizen should enjoy and they live like kings here. Learn something from us about how treat minorities you ignorant indian.
