Thousands of Iranians today chanted Death to Israel as they demonstrated in Tehran against Israels blockade of Gaza.
Todays demonstrations took place amid growing concern over the possibility of an imminent Israeli attack on Irans nuclear facilities. Israeli observers have speculated that such an attack might be launched in the last weeks of the Bush presidency.
The renewed talks of war and the recent harsh verbal attacks on Israel by the Iranian president and todays anti-Israeli demonstrations in Tehran have raised tensions between the two countries to a level not seen in a long time.
