No doubt about punishment of stoning in sharia of adultery.
But in Sharia law and in Pakistan's law, four witness must require who have seen very closely(sorry can't use exact word here) the act for penalty.
Such four witness are incredible to present in court.
Adding to this, those witnesses' testimony will be accepted who HAVE no criminal record in past, if even once a person had lied and it was proven, in Islam his testimony can't be accepted till Day of Judgment arrives
And one more thing, people also raise this question that Medical reports are not accepted like there was in the cases of Hudood ordinance which was enforced by Zia, well, Sharia'ah also gives the State the permission to upgrade the laws with the passage of time to suite the current situation, this is called Ijtehad, any law which doesn't go against Qur'an and Hadith can be implemented in a Islamic state and that law will have the same importance in Sharia'ah as other laws
So the fault was in Zia's law, not Sharia'ah law, Today, Muslims really lack the real Scholars, I really wish, we could do Ijtehad like Allama Iqbal emphasized and make Pakistan a better place, a modern Islamic state as wished by our forefathers
