I hope they market well this time also...Guys any idea whether Indian 2012 GP will be as popular as 2011's ie sell out and intense Indian media coverage? And has it had a lasting impact on India ie driving academies and more motorsport interest in India as a whole?

That will only happen if Ferrari buys Kartikeyan which is not possible looking at his current performance compared to his team-mate de la rossa..I have no doubt that it will not only be as popular as previous year but in all probability exceed it, In 2011 people were not as aware of F-1 before the event as they are after the event, tickets will surely be a sell out.
+ It can be noted that over the years the popularity of cricket in India is decreasing (however marginally) so F-1, tennis or Football are the sports that can fill the gap, one thing that can really boost F-1 in India is that any Indian racer coming in top-5.
