Guys any idea whether Indian 2012 GP will be as popular as 2011's ie sell out and intense Indian media coverage? And has it had a lasting impact on India ie driving academies and more motorsport interest in India as a whole?

I have no doubt that it will not only be as popular as previous year but in all probability exceed it, In 2011 people were not as aware of F-1 before the event as they are after the event, tickets will surely be a sell out.

+ It can be noted that over the years the popularity of cricket in India is decreasing (however marginally) so F-1, tennis or Football are the sports that can fill the gap, one thing that can really boost F-1 in India is that any Indian racer coming in top-5.

That will only happen if Ferrari buys Kartikeyan  which is not possible looking at his current performance compared to his team-mate de la rossa..

I am hoping for good performance from Nico Hulkenburg and di resta in Indian GP..
