Joint Manufacturing of the JF-17 . Fighter Jet

It appears that Egypt is on its way to striking a big deal with Pakistan that may include the manufacture of the JF-17 joint fighter jet between China and Pakistan, which the latter manufactures locally in the country.

The Arab Defense website had reported two years ago (in 2019) that Egypt was negotiating to contract JF-17 fighters with technology transfer during the 2019 Paris Air Show.

At the time, the Chinese website Sina pointed out that Egypt plans to obtain 3 batches of the JF-17 fighter, and then will start production locally, in the same production line as the Chinese K-8E training aircraft, to save effort and reduce cost.

The site said that, as is known to all, the Egyptian Air Force is one of the first foreign users of Chinese fighters, and the Egyptian Air Force was the first foreign customer of Chinese fighters. In the 1980s, Egypt contracted the J-7 fighter from China, and in the 1990s, the Egyptian Air Force acquired K-8E training aircraft from China. Egypt manufactures and assembles the K-8E locally. With the entry of the new century, the Egyptian Air Force turned to Chinese drones, and introduced the ASN-209 drones. And the latest news indicates that the Egyptian Air Force acquired 32 pterosaur 1D aircraft from China, which played an important role in combating armed groups in Egypt.

There are also some rumors that Egypt may locally manufacture Pakistani cruise missiles..

I believe EAF is looking at 12 from PAC, and the rest assembled / made in Egypt.
