Most of these posters are just showing hatred to Indian/Hindi influence than anything. The only one that shows any hatred towards Hindus in my opinion is the poster above me.

As for the Arab thing, religion is just a small part of culture. Doesn't make us fake Bengalis.

If you really want to compare India then compare yourselves with the Chinese - after all they are a country of a Billion plus people as well.

So - let me get this straight. According to our think tank analyst here, if I don't wear a micro-border classy Dhoti, wear a silk fatua and rub some kind of red powder across my forehead in the morning post-puja, that doesn't make me pure Bengali? I will tell my folks to get me a dhoti immediately. The very thought!

This is called narrow-minded thinking, which is hard to find in educated circles in Bangladesh.

I believe we have way more open-minded secular (even religious!) folks on our side of the border than theirs. I have never (EVER!) disrespected a Hindu person because of their religion. Same with any other religion. The very thought never came to my head. While this type of thinking is more common in India than you all think. See below.

At least 3 times of the year I do visit Kolkata and Malda from Down Under.

The only reason I stay reasonably anonymous is because this is the only way I can speak freely without putting my life at risk, given the Islamophobia all the world over.

I can't afford time to create fake accounts on forums like these. I overestimated this one's reach anyway. Twitter remains my place to go. But I am getting numerous hits there. So looking for alternatives that would allow me to speak my mind.

No decline. Just that they don’t have as many babies or shall I say can’t produce like Bengali Muslims have past decades. And majority is more likely to grow in numbers. But even BD Muslim population is in control thanks to the BD gov population control programs went on. Steady population is better than overgrown population with more problems.

Also. Big factors not to be forgotten. The BJP, Hindtuva organisations have lured in millions of Bdeshi hindus with fake promises, since 71 for their own gains and many of them live worse off then they were in BD where they had village land and cattles, were able to fish in the lakes/ponds and least be able to eat 3times a day!

What about yr relatives who came from East Pakistan to India during 1971 and now you want a society free from Hindu influence. Better go to East Pakistan along with yr relatives once for all. Hindus in Bangladesh cannot demand a free society free from Islamic influence,they will be given the boot if they demand such a thing
