Another BS thread about Indian internal politics, rightfully the thread starter is banned. writer of this article is Tavleen singh ( Tavleen has a son with late Pakistani politician Salman Taseer with whom she had an affair.) she has issue to settle with sonia when she was snubbed by sonia after assassination of Rajiv Gandhi for writing crap that time too

Bro she is not credible any more, her thinking has changes though the journalist gets wiser with age n experience but she is turning otherwise. Also she her self didn't follow any principal in her life, now bragging about others

The idea of FSB came from states when they won elections on cheap food. Congress think they can win national election on FSB.

Sonia and her cohorts has made welfare bills the priority instead of bringing in the crucial reforms to spruce up the economy taking the country back to the socialist days and undermining the investor confidence and causing the deterioration of investment climate. That is a crime considering that India has a chance to get back to the glorious days 300 years and before when India was one of the largest contributors to the World GDP and attracted every invader.

I agree on most points but not on what choice they have - These poor masses are the worst ones in that through their ignorance even make the decision for the educated masses including many here in this very forum - That in my books is a grave sin. That's pretty heartless. You just want to let them die? It is the government's responsibility to create the environment for people to better their lives, the most important of which is to feed them. India has one of the worst cases of malnutrition and it is affecting the next generation of citizens by naming them stunted , both physically and mentally. Remember, we are not talking about free television or other fancy gadgets. It is food.

Why do you equate with what I said with me wanting them to die? My views are based on the choices they are making for everyone including the educated ones by electing goons and crooks who does not care for the country or its economics. I am not saying that having schemes for the poor is wrong either.

I understand your concern but by giving food this generation they may survive ok but what about the next generations
If we invest this money in to Important things like Education,Health care, Starting to bring manufacturing in India this will benefit the future generations

yes some of the Current generation member may die but their sacrifice won't go in vain

I was not that much worried about the Food bill But the land Acquisition Bill will be the real killer
The first step the Next Govt should do is to amend this Land bill

I agree with what you said.

Let me be clear - I do not support FSB either. Have the PDS infrastructure strengthened and that will do for the poor masses. No need for a FSB to serve 2/3rds of the population with no money in the kitty.

Using the scheme for vote is connivite of congress party. You cannot blame the poor people for that.

These laws are here to stay. Nobody will be able to reverse these laws, not even Modi, even if he were to come to power.

India's growth story is, in all likelihood, over.

If you think about the kinds of problems facing us and our response to those problems, it's fair to assume that things are only gonna get worse from here. Things are not gonna change, not in my lifetime, at least. I think time has come to leave this country.
