What's new

the computing and related technologies thread

What what.. if he spent 100 yrs in space, then how his memory is of 1 yr?

Thats 1 year relative to earth's orbit/earth's time.
As explained in actuality which is earth's time for us based on which calculations were made in movie he returned after 100+ years.

.
@he-man Just one question,

When the astronaut's atoms, quarks, ammonia, all the shit experiencing time slow ( wrt earth), then how biology clock remain same as of earth?

A

Now why did he perceive time to be 1 year??
Due to factors like
1)increased speed
2)travelling through a wormhole,around a wormhole
3)Around a much much bigger orbit

But he did return after 100+ years didn't he??

.
It is movie, not real time travel.

Because cells divide at the same rate.
Does not matter what u experience..................they just have a constant division rate. And after x divisions they simply die.Because thats how the body's dna has been programmed.

And our hero returned after 100+ years wrt earth's time so he must have had 100+ years worth of cell division.

Thats the question, you experience nothing, your whole body experience all this. From body, it doesnt mean your eyes only.

And for programming itself is done through material, when atoms start to experience slow time, how the program remain fast?

Its biology man,if cells divide 1/10 we will simply die.

As you refused to join our wattsapp group. Its from your loving friend @Vyom ( ignore this message if you don't know him).:P

Dont accuse me, I am jus passing the message. :D

a few times have been conversations between "skull and bones", donatello and myself on fundamental electricals and computing topics like clock-less processors, fpga ( field programmable gate array ) and manufacture of computer circuitry.

but those discussions have been in random threads so i thought there could be a dedicated thread for this very field.

all are welcome, though i will start by tagging those i know are interested in such sciences.

@Skull and Bones @levina @Blue_Eyes @Donatello
Nice thread, lets make a dedicated computer or processor for "Gaddafi" from which he can automatically rule the world and there will be no RAM and ROM ,, just an all in one advanced Chip called "Jamahiriya" :p: :D
on a serious note are you working on any project related to processors or circuits?

how true your wish... :D ... i am indeed designing a clock-less processor, including a new minimal instruction set ( less than 25 ), so the os will also be new... this is really a project within a overall portable computer project.

the project is not just technological but also political ( socialist ) :enjoy: so will also course open source.

edit : i will try to use the faster static ram ( sram ) as main ram, without need for complicated cache memories.

Good Luck  and why is it a political project?

well, i hesitate to tell you but...

if a well-designed and simplified processor/computer/applications-environment is released "open source" into the world market...

1. it will remove some profits from capitalist corporations like intel, ibm, cisco, samsung, amd, microsoft, red hat etc.

2. it will enable western-bloc-illegally-sanctioned east/south nations like cuba, syria, north korea, venezuela to have their own computer manufacture industries.

i always wanted to be the chief villain in a james bond film... through this project, i can. :D

Not into computing technology, infact whatever you, Dona and haddi Bhai discuss usually whooshes over my head.
But I love reading science related articles. :-)
Thanks for tagging me!
I read some interesting arguments by some members about time and space on this tgread.

"haddi bhai" reminds me of a old cartoon serial ( and its song ) from zee tv, i think... "haddi raja, haddi raja, haddi raja... raja, raja, haddi raja". :D

so where do you stand on the human aging as show in "interstellar" and as poisted by believers of einstein stuff??
