The China-India tango

It appears that the shock has left everybody so dazed that nobody talks about this fact
Please come up with substance or dont waste time on this thread.

The singular fact is that the world is multi-polar. Countries jostle and move in an ocean of many multi complex relationships, including with purportedly those that are on the other side of the "pivot". Some Countries which lived and thrived by living in the shadow of one side or the other during the cold war, have neither the intellectual nor diplomatic skills to recognise this changed climate, and still seek "poles" and "pivots" to prop up a bankrupt idiotic policy.
The singular fact is that one country’s internet trash believes in itself being the sole reason the world exists- whereas the world is about 7 billion people outside their hostile borders.

This is a polar world with poles on a variety of issues and ideals. The FATF being one where more than a few poles collided and eventually the stronger polar alliance won out.

Seems some countries still live in byzantine medieval age where horses and swords are used for diplomacy.

Each country supports other only based on issues, Russia approaching Saudi in opec but fighting proxy war against them in syria is a big glaring example. Turkey being still part of NATO but tries tangoing with Russia. US & India only tango wrt china but on other issues like trade/pakistan are still divergent.

No it is not. It has been unipolar world since 1990s and fall of Soviet Union with the pivot being Washington which has been going around on a wrecking spree since that time. Iraq v1, Iraq v2, Libya, Afghanistan, Kosova etc etc. Today we are seeing a merging bipolar world with Biejing offering that other pivot. It's not quite there but is well on the way.

@Laozi You still have not given the "big fact". Please do so. Thanks in advance.

Since your being coy about giving us this "fact" may I take the liberty of suggesting what this @big stunning fact" is? Saudia Arabia dumped Pakistan like it was a soiled paper down latrine. Since FATF rrules require three countries to block a motion the moment Saudia Arabia flushed Pakistan at the behest of USA that left only China and Turkey holding the thin line for Pakistan. Since two votes cannot block the motion it was over for Pakistan. This is the "stunning fact". It proved Saudia Arabia as fickle turncoat friend that is married to USA. It also proved China and Turkey as Pakistan's solid allies. I opened a thread on this very "stunning fact" that has Pakistan 'dazed'.

Well, I have read your justfication of Chinese retreat. TBH I thought that China did not vote in favour of your country because of Indian diplomacy.

Please read below. Three, yes 3 is required to block FATF. One down and the game is over. Saudia Arabia dumped Pakistan. And it was game over.

"The 37-nation FATF plenary held its first meeting on Pakistan on February 20 where China, "Turkey and Saudi Arabia, which was representing the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), opposed the US-led move to place Pakistan on the watchlist. But the US pushed for an unprecedented second discussion on Pakistan, held on February 22.

By then, Washington had convinced Riyadh to give up its support to Pakistan in return for a full FATF membership. This left only two – China and Turkey – in the Pakistan camp, one less than the required number of three members to stall a move.

At this stage, the Chinese informed Islamabad that they were opting out as they did not want to “lose face by supporting a move that’s doomed to fail”, an official source had told Dawn. “Pakistan appreciated the Chinese position and conveyed its gratitude to Turkey for continuing to support Islamabad against all odds,” the source added."

what would china gain by voting against the motion? gratitude of pakistan, thats good for nothing.

Both saudi arabia and china will gain a lot by voting for the motion.

consider this
1) saudi arabia needs boots on the ground in yemen. If pakistan falls into a financial crisis they can provide pakistan some financial asistance and bail it out. In return they will ask for the obvious.

2) as for china is concerned more pakistan moves away from US it is better for them. A financial weak and option less pakistan can pressurized to provide more concessions on CPEC.

All these powers have more or less benefit to see pakistan in a corner but only disagree on who is going to benefit from it. Thats the only thing saving pakistan as of now not any grand friend ship.

Thats BS china is trying to force into pakistani minds. What would China gain from voting for Pakistan?? Seriously,
What did Trukey gain by persisting to vote for Pakistan??? Its all matter of perception
what did Pakistan gain by being the first country to acknowledge China. At that time Pakistan was rising and China was a hash addict shit hole.
Its BS that at least I wont buy. Next time how would you be sure China wont come up with some reason to frame same BS.
Remember every penny mighty china invested in Pakistan is loan on high interest. Its all Bull crap and picture is getting clear day by day.
It doesnt mean we be hostile with China but For God sake self reliance self reliance self reliance
Build only one road but build with ur own resources.
