china our friend but is there any body tell us that future is in safe hands with chinease emergence of the economy

no no no

our industry is ruined and how can we be safe

how can we give the incentives to our industries equal to china to compete china

china makes us weaker like it weak the world but with honey coated poison

they always see there advantages

just look at them think and decide what is our favour and what is not
discuss it buddies

You preception is probably coming by the rumors of average joe in flea market. Chinese have their own speciality of industry and we have our own. In the world of unlimited demand there is no formula to quench the thirst of consumers. if such was the case the Indian, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Russian, Ukranian, German economies wouldnt be surviving at all.

.
Of course China looks after its own interest. Name a country that doesn't but the question you are posing is whether China's gain will come at the expense of Pakistan. I for one don't think so. The cooperation between China and Pakistan has been all of mutual benefit thus far and I see no reason why this pattern would change.

Ok, it was hard to understand that, but i think you are complaining about Chinese economic advance having an adverse effect on pak economy?

The Chinese industries took business away from your own (especially in textile industry) because they were more competitive. They can't reduce their efficiency or let their people starve to help you. If you want to be competitive, you have to increase efficiency of your industries

Globalization is a harsh mistress and is going to happen regardless of policy, just because of a shrinking world and advances in technology. No amount of governments whining will change things unless they can accept living standards 50 years behind everyone else's.

How exactly is a booming Chinese economy detrimental to the Pakistani economy? I think more money in China will mean higher Chinese investment in Pakistani infrastructure.

And higher Pakistani exports to China due to rising PPP.

For the unfamilar chinese members, an average flea market of Pakistani tradesmen is full of such rumors. There is no need to pay attention to self confessed economic experts. If they were even 10% of that they would easily upheal their economic conditions. On the flip side resale of mass produced chinese goods are bread and butter for many poors in Pakistan
