But its true that abolishing any mention of caste will in the long term benefit India tremendously ,from a social perspective.

in Punjab the CONgress party is not popular one bit the BJP is because they helped turned Punjab into the bread basket of the nation with the Akali Dal the BJP did much more in 5 years than the CONgress party did in its decades of rule

Akalis and BJP are very corrupt in Punjab. Badal has complete control over cable TV, transport, mining, and liquor business in Punjab. He used to be humble zameendar, in 2003 his wealth was estimated at 4000 crore INR.

My father has transport business, we have first hand experience of dealing with late Surinder Kaur Badal. She was *****, every bus operator/trucker had to pay bribe to them for small things.

I read an election report about Bihar(before Nitish Kumar era) some years ago. The reporter asked a common villager who is the biggest leader and he answered Lalu...Why because his helicopter has 4 leaves while the helicopters of other leaders have 2 only. If this is the civic consciousness of common Indians, then all I can say is "God Save my Country".

You read the interview of Bihari Villager and then you saw the election result..Believe me, Lalu+ are going down in Bihar..
Lets hope UP wallahs open their eyes too..They are in much better position than Bihar and yet they are choosing same Mayawati again and again..

I didn't really like BJP's slow reaction (contrary to its top leaders) in supporting Anna ji, but they're still a better bet anyday than Scamgress party. I'd vote for them still despite this disappointment.

I am referring to overall decisions made by the new top bosses of BJP--- Arun Jaitley and Sushma Swaraj. They are so obsessed bickering with each other that they don't even realize how big an opportunity they will lose if they don't cast Modi as PM candidate.

If I were NDA committee, I would welcome Arvind Kejriwal into BJP ASAP. It is when you have national heros like this man that people start respecting you.

There are still people who cannot access a computer or TV and lets be fair most of the time people watch TV for serials or films not for newshour.

It took Biharis 15 years to throw away Lalu and Bengalis took more than a quarter century to understand that the Communist way of governance is not working for them. So lets wait for the next general elections. I am firm believer of democracy but I am increasingly doubting the Universal suffrage.

They dont need Anna's movement to beat congress. Congress scored a self goal when it bungled on this entire issue of corruption. If they had passed a strong lokpal bill Aug 15th , Anna wouldnt have fasted. Tables have turned for congress long time ago when scam after scam began to appear.
