TF-X Turkish Fighter & Trainer Aircraft Projects

BAE and Türk cooperation. NOKTA

Eurofighter Typhoon design
The aircraft is constructed of carbon-fibre composites, glass-reinforced plastic, aluminium lithium, titanium and aluminium casting. Stealth technology features include low frontal radar cross-section, passive sensors and supercruise ability.

The foreplane / delta configuration is intentionally aerodynamically unstable which provides a high level of agility (particularly at supersonic speeds), low drag and enhanced lift. The pilot controls the aircraft through a computerised digital fly-by-wire system which provides artificial stabilisation and gust elevation to give good control characteristics throughout the flight envelope.

"Stealth technology features include low frontal radar cross-section, passive sensors and supercruise ability."
Air-superiority - six BVRAAM (beyond visual range) / AMRAAM air-to-air missiles on semi-recessed fuselage stations and two ASRAAM short-range air-to-air missiles on the outer pylons

He mentions about future:

By 2037, deliveries of the F-35 Lightning II for the U.S. military have ceased.* Although the aircraft is scheduled to remain in service until 2070,* it is succeeded around this time by a sixth generation of planes that begins to be rolled out. The U.S. Navy's existing fleet of F/A-18 Super Hornets is also being retired now, necessitating a replacement. The new fighter jets are procured for both the U.S Navy (in a program known as F/A-XX) and Air Force (known as F-X). In terms of technology they are a major leap over the F-35 and also designed to outclass China's Chengdu J-20 and Shenyang J-31.

The sixth-generation jets feature increased autonomy (with the option of being unmanned), orders of magnitude improvements in computer processing and algorithmic power, faster manoeuvring and sensing of the battlespace, hypersonic weapons, laser guns, advanced electronic warfare capabilities, better stealth technology and so-called "smart skins" where sensors are built into the side of the aircraft itself to reduce drag.* They incorporate a supersonic tailless design for the first time ever, made possible through advanced computer modelling and new materials.*

I did share this despite youtube source is a nobody because "Raymond Kurzweil" did shared it. He shouldnt be taken lightly, when he says something it has a highest probability of been legit. Who is he?

Well, seen this news intimidates me, when this guys (US) have their 6th gen fighter we might still be fiddling with our 5th gen. (Ours might be 5.5th gen with upgrades when it needed to be compete with a 6th gen)

Sources he did shared in his website for you lazy people:

Do you know when the F-22 first flew? 20 years ago. When was it inducted? 12 years ago. Forget about us, when do you think, say, China will induct its first 5th gen fighter? probably in 5-10 years. That's about 20 years of difference right there. Everybody knows that the US is way ahead of the world in military technology, that's not new. And believe it or not, nobody is competing with the US (especially not us).

Now you tell me, when the US starts to build their 6th gen, would you rather we be fiddling with our 5th gen or would you rather we be fiddling with our nothing?

Of course i want something instead of nothing, that is why i did emphasize the technological gap between us. There must be a strategy, some kind of preparedness in our air superiority doctrine. I am just worried about weaknesses which might cause some problem in the future.

Detailed analyse why TF-X should be a twin engine fighter.
All existent fighters incl. F-35 have limited combat and operational range.

kokpit aero/irfan-sarp-tfx-uzerine

Tf-x will have twin engine. It is official...

I think Tf-X project will be something like T-129 project with Augusta Westland. We get an already existing airframe, modify it and throw on our own systems.
