They don't allow that small a car in the US on the roads. It needs to pass minimum safety requirements (collision standards etc.). No insurance co. will insure this thing.

The best pizza shops in Florence are in the old city. Even Italians living in the new city have to go to the old city to buy food to avoid "Hawaiian style pizza" with pineapples. At this time, small cars will be of value.

I spent two years in Nova Scotia, Canada. I admit that there are not many people in Halifax who will buy such cars, but not in places like Sydney. I spent a summer at the seaside in Sydney, where the local people have a lot of ATVs. Regardless of power and top speed, The compact car also has air conditioning and a fully enclosed enclosure, which ensures that it can be used in the long winter in Canada rather than in the summer like ATV.There are so many elderly people there. The manufacturing cost of adding a few curves is not too much of an addition, this shape China used to produce in 2005 when I was researching importing electric cars into Pakistan.

I don't think a new car worth more than $20000 is affordable to 40 million poor Americans living on food stamps. Of course, if you're talking about second-hand cars and these poor people don't have houses but live in cars, I admit they will even own a RV.

I don't think ANY vehicle is affordable in a country where > 700M people moved from "extreme poverty" into just "poverty". They are lucky to have a bicycle and shoes.

I'm pretty sure a car like that would not pass a crash test. This is like when car companies make a super cheap version of their cars for the African/South American/Asian markets.

Make a buck by selling a substandard car to the unsuspecting masses...what could go wrong.

It is probably designed to Chinese tastes since it is for the Chinese market. 120 km
Perhaps Chinese are similar to the Japanese in that they like both the boxy look and small machines.
People are not the same have different preferences and needs.
For example, To sell to the Americans companies have to make HUGE vehicles so the American can squeeze inside.
