Terrorists should be separated from those ready for peace talks: Imran Khan


Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan said on Monday that if peace talks are to be given a chance, the people who are dedicated to an agenda of violence should be separated from those who are willing to call a ceasefire.

Condemning the Sunday attack on All Saints church in Peshawar he said that people who are willing to talk peace within the ambit of the Constitution of Pakistan should be taken in isolation from those who want to carry out terror attacks against innocent people.

Referring to an earlier statement of Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, he said that the interior minister did not confirm which group carried out the attack and added that whoever was responsible for the attack should be condemned.

“Nothing justifies the targeting of innocent people and their places of worship. This is against the spirit of Islam,” the statement said.

PTI chairman stated that Sunday’s attack was an act of terror against all Pakistanis.
“We condemn it and its perpetrators unequivocally,” said Khan.

There needs to be consensus in different arms of govt to fight these scums collectively, if talks held now the govt will have its hands tied as terrorists are rearing with confidence with spate of recent terror attacks and might force dithering govt to give in, the govt which looks like is not sure whether the peace talks or action against them is way forward

I think Nawaz Sharif should make Imran the SPOC to do this separation. Nawaz Sharif should ask Imran to lead the talks and separate the terrorists from peace activists.

all the talibans are disunited and broken into many factions. y do we want to give them a reason to unite once again? those who want to get out of it should be allowed to get out.

He is not a fool fool are those dumbos who supported entering of Army into tribal areas which resulted in mass killing of our own people and they formed TTP in 2006 and after that war entered every area that is why Imran warned from first day don't send Army into Tribal areas but Army touts like Musharraf were too arrogant at that time and lost peace because of their blunder

exactly.. its getting even harder to figure out a decent strategy. hypothetically speaking, lets say if one group agrees to peace and demands army to withdraw at the cost of them laying down arms. but since there are other groups operating in the same area it becomes a paradox as to how can the army be withdrawn without having all the groups in the particular area lay down arms.
