It's not brainwashing tbh, the Punjabi trope is used on purpose because they understand the Pashtun cultural mindset well. Hate against Punjabi sells and gains support.

General Naseerullah Babar and many other Pashtuns like Ayub Khan, Yahya, Assad Durrani, etc, have been in contact with these people while being in top positions of power. They are aware of the power Pashtuns hold in Pakistan, many of them live in Pakistan throughout the country themselves.
