Terrorists attacked three Pakistani checkposts in Mohmand Agency. Five Pakistani soldiers martyred and 10 terrorists killed.

5 Pakistan Army soldiers killed in cross-border militant attack: ISPR

Five soldiers of the Pakistan Army and more than 10 militants were killed in a cross-border terrorist attack on three Pakistani border posts along the Pak-Afghan border area on Sunday night, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.

ISPR in a statement said "terrorists" from across the border had targeted the posts on Sunday night in Mohmand Agency.

"Effective presence, vigilance and response repulsed terrorists attempt," said the statement.

"In exchange of fire five soldiers embraced martyrdom and over 10 terrorists were reportedly killed."

Cross border raids by militants clearly suggests that they are stationed just right there across the border so why were they not taken out before ? Clearly shelling won't do the job alone since we need to raid their hideouts as well. Good job in killing 10 of the militants but causality at our side is also high and such revenge attacks will gonna happen more after our shelling. Our soldiers are sitting ducks,waiting to be hit on those unfortified check posts. Have to do something better.

What is left now to take bold decisions regarding going on hunt inside Afghanistan? Kabil govt. is not capable to control much of the area so why we are wasting time in waiting for them to take action?
