Iran's Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif

Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif says Iran will respond “swiftly and decisively” in defense of its people, shortly after a terror attack claimed at least 10 lives in southern Iran.

“Terrorists recruited, trained, armed, and paid by a foreign regime have attacked Ahvaz. Children and journos [are] among casualties,” Zarif tweeted on Saturday.

Iran holds “regional terror sponsors” and their “US masters” responsible for the attack, he said.

At least 10 were killed when gunmen opened fire on people from behind a viewing stand at Qods Boulevard of Ahvaz during the morning parade held to mark the former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein's invasion of Iran in the 1980s.

"Individuals disguised in the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps and Basij uniforms fired at officials and people from behind the stand, leaving a number of innocent people including women and children martyred or injured," Governor of Khuzestan Province Gholamreza Shariati said.

"So far, the martyrdom of three people has been verified in this subversive and anti-security action, with more than 20 other injured who were transferred to hospital," he told the official IRNA news agency.

PressTV-Terrorists attack military parade in Iran's Ahvaz
Three people are killed and at least 20 people others injured after gunmen attack a military parade in Iran’s southern city of Ahvaz.

The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) spokesman Ramezan Sharif said the attackers were affiliated to a terrorist group supported by Saudi Arabia.

Earlier in September, the IRGC confirmed that it had fired seven short-range missiles at a gathering of terrorist commanders in Iraq's semi-autonomous Kurdistan region.

The Corps said the strike had come following "wicked actions" in the previous months by terrorist groups affiliated with the global arrogance against Iran's border areas.

Meanwhile, Rear Admiral Ali Fadavi, the IRGC’s former top naval commander and the Corps’ current deputy coordinator, also reacted to the attack.

“This issue (the terrorist attack in Ahvaz) is not indicative of strength and power, but shows lowliness,” he said. He called the massacre a “sequel to the actions in Syria and Iraq by [the Takfiri terror group of] Daesh, which martyrs innocent people, who are neither in a defensive position nor in a military one.”

“We took down the grand design and the intrigue that was called Daesh,” he added, saying the enemy has a hard time accepting this.

Fadavi was referring to Iran’s support for Syria and Iraq in their battle against the terrorists, who were defeated by the Arab countries late last year.

The Arabs from Ahwaz fought alongside the regular artesh (army) for many years, defending their homeland. Now go and take a look at their conditions. Many veterans even lack basic medicine and the militia alike government is not helping them. That is how the regime thanks them for their contributions.

We have many Iranian Arabs living in KSA and the GCC. They often tell about the neglect that they face. Let alone environmental issues, lack of clean water and basic services. It's no different in the Baloch inhabited areas. That is why Baloch have been migrating to Arabia for centuries as well looking for greener pastures.

Oppression/neglect/violence from the Mullah regime will eventually be met with violence by a portion of locals, even if it is very small.

I don't, unlike the Mullah lot in this thread, support attacks on any civilians. It's just hard to take the Mullah bootlickers outcries seriously when they are boasting about their terrorist proxies on PDF openly, let alone the actions of their beloved Mullah's within Iran and outside of it.

KSA was blamed for that embarrassing attack of the heartland of the Mullah establishment last year as well and zero proof has been put forward by the Mullah regime to date. One would think that would happen automatically if such involvement really took place.

Initially their propaganda Mullah media claimed that all attackers were Arabs, even foreign ones (LOL), later for all the attackers to have been found out to be Iranian Kurds.

Just mention KSA, Israel, USA (in the past Turkey as well when they were heavily involved in Syria and Bashar was close to losing power before Russia entered the picture) and at various times Pakistan as well, and the bogeyman has been found instead of looking inwards and solving domestic issues let alone a foreign policy that is dependent on terrorist proxies doing your bidding.

They blame all their many miseries on KSA. Hailing their own terrorist proxies all across the region (that have murdered 1000's upon 1000's of civilians and helped destroy entire countries) and openly supporting them and boasting about it.

Yet when they taste the same medicine they act all shocked and the usual "big words" that never come to fruition.

The entire foundation of that failed and crippling regime is the use of terrorist proxies outside of the country and inside it.

Anyway I am quite sure that KSA has nothing to do with this attack as this attack (some 4 attackers apparently from what I read on the BBC) will give the Mullah terrorist regime a free hand in further oppressing Arabs in that country as they have been doing for 4 decades despite that same community being the first line of the defense against Iraq.

We will see random people of Ahwaz (to save face) being hung up in cranes in public and 100's of arrests made of imaginary "terrorists". That is a given. However if the Mullah regime wants to kill their own people as they have been doing for 4 decades, that is their choice.

That is how the Mullah regime apparently says "thank you" in Farsi.
I'll be laughing when yemenis rape you further in near future. Expect a big dildo up your filthy leaders ***.

IRGC got targeted. If it was indeed Saudi Arabia behind this or one of Saudi's proxy then thumbs up to the Saudis for not targetting civilians like the IR does.

This was long overdue though. Mullah armies should have been targeted a long time ago.

Btw, IRGC is a shia mullah army. Not Iranian.
thats right that that its a sectarian mullah army

but civilians were injured
still

I dont support terror attacks and covert wars among Middle eastern countries that claim to be Muslims
please let go the egos and grow up or Israel will decide the fate of all of you for you

You have been saying that for 40 years and KSA has only become stronger each year while your entity has collapsed economically (once again) and just wait until what will occur from November onwards.

Your life is screwed. That of your family as well. Everything lost. Worth nothing. Less than toilet paper. Yet you are still here parading Mullah nonsense. Remember that earthquake near your hometown and thousands of locals complaining of lack of services and help? How does that look today? I imagine still in misery.

If just your Mullah's could have spent money on that instead of terrorist proxies all over the region.

KSA and the entire region and world (hence your sanctions and pariah reality that ordinary Iranians live under) already knows that you are the masters of terrorist proxies. Your regime's survival have been dependent on such policies.

Just like back in 2009 when your Mullah regime had to import Lebanese Hezbollahis to oppress/kill/arrest your people in the streets of Tehran etc.

The Houthi terrorist cult is raping nobody. They are getting a beating to such an extent that they control less than 10% of Yemen.

Look at this beautiful map.

BTW, I heard similar empty barking last year when your fellow Kurds attacked your Mullah heartland in another embarrassing fashion.

It's funny. This is the kind of death and destruction that Iran metes out to the countries in the region. This is the kind of attack that the Iranian fascist regime spends billions annually on perpetrating in other countries.

Now they get a taste of their own medicine. Taste it fascists, taste it good.

Sectarian my a3s please. Why are we sectarian? Cause we want to protect ourselves from terrorist scum who behead people? Then count me in. IllI never even hesitate to kill these mofos and their leaders and their families in house of saud.

You have the moral high ground, SUNNI bro.
I'll stay down here thank you very much. I'm a sectarian guy, yes.

.
Civilians are dead and injured too even they have nothing to do in war. State tv said its Sunni group, but we should not support anyone with weapons irrespective of religion. This is terrorism and it causes unrest which is not good for region.

IR regime got lucky its enemies have some class. Instead of attacking schools, hospitals they attack military parades.

As if that stopped the same Mullah lot in this thread from cheering on when similar terrorist attacks occurred in KSA and other Arab countries or when the Houthi terrorist cult launches ballistic missiles aimed at cities in KSA solely to target civilian areas.

It's unfortunate and no sane people support that but don't blame us for showing them the mirror when their failed propaganda regime invents fake claims like they did last year when their Mullah heartland was attacked in an embarrassing fashion as well.

Back then fake claims of Iranian Arabs, foreign Arabs (even) being involved and KSA being involved was proven to be a bunch of nonsense. It turned out that all the attackers were Iranian Kurds. The failed Mullah regime started barking against the usual suspects and zero proof has been put forward by them. One would imagine that this would be a piece of cake if there is so-called "evidence". It could be brought to the UN or similar international organizations as well.

Just search on the thread from last year that talked about the attack. You will see the fake claims, empty bravado etc. It happens again in this thread.

.
State tv said its Sunni group

You have said it yourself in the other thread. How is Iran wrong then?

I bet you can name a hundred Sunni Groups which are Terrorist but cannot name one Single shia Group.

In your mind yourself its a Sunni Monopoly.
