Terror attack thwarted at Karachi Naval Dockyard

Good thing is that the attack is thwarted. The best part is 4 rats have been arrested and according to Dunya news by information gathered by the arrested terrorists security forces have arrested more terrorists from Karachi.

No need to glorify these terrorists. No need to create panic. Navy dealt with it accordingly.

Will they be handed over to the civilian courts or Military Tribunal?

.
The good thing was the 4 terrorists were arrested resulting in raids through out the country to apprehend more terrorists. Good work by naval guards.

.
So there was inside help and the terrorists were of a different kind (in the sense that they intended to take the ship hostage and not just make big bangs all over the place as a statement of intent).

Secondly, they got captured, they didn't blow themselves up.

Definitely something very strange here, I'll wait for the full details to emerge, if they do emerge.

Another thing to note is the statement that "On the information received from captured terrorists, more arrests have taken place within Pak Navy".
Not within Navy and in Quetta attack too we got 3 alive sir

.
Navy needs to have at least 30000 marines and around 8000 SSGN and many off them should be used to protect our NAVAL BASES and equippment

It went Completely Un-noticed because of coverage of PTI, PAT Dharna and Flood Relief Coverage, But now all Pakistani News Channels are Reporting this.

It was hidden from the media and all. This went on for about 2 days (around 20 hours from what we've gathered). Initially, they though this was just a couple of disgruntled officers, later on, it was discovered that they had another team of terrorists. Initially, it was the Security team who responded with some help from a few Navy officers around the docks. Then, after playing hours of hide and seek and realizing that there was another team providing guidance and communication (which later came out and became a part of the attack), they called QRF and SSG version of the Navy. The second team eventually was cut off from communication and contact from each other and two or three people were captured alive. There is wide belief that they had help from the inside.

I am not sure how I missed this thread for like two days. I was wondering about how come no one on here from PN reported it.

:smitten:Nicely done. Keep quiet as nothing has happened and capture the shit hidden behind the scene. :pakistan:

There seems to be a major cover up on the insider help. According to @Karachi_Post the attack was carried out by two Naval officers with automatic weapons.

Type 22 Frigate PNS Zulfikar was the vessel on which the attack took place, it seems.

Man I'm wondering if it's going to be possible for Pakistan not to get any terror threats anymore.

.
Authorities did not say what group the militants belonged to and no one immediately claimed responsibility.

This may be speaking too soon, but there appears to be a growing trend of delayed sheepish acceptance on part of the TTP and the prime reason for this appears to be the abject disasters which their most recent terrorist operations have turned out to be. lol.

Additionally, and at the cost of provoking bedlam, some attacks on defence installations also have a cross-border nexus; I do wonder if that rings true for this case.

.
BLA is also operating in Karachi, so it can be them.

.
Sad but true, there are a lot of black sheeps inside Pak security agencies, they provide the secret informations plan the attack and some physically involve in attacks. I'm just wondering why this incident un noticed by media as it happened on Sunday morning 4am.

It was unnoticed by media since the Defence Authorities 'blacked it out' or as @metalfalcon says; "they hid it."
That is the only explanation.

Inside help to terrorists If above is true. No wonder why there has been cover up to this incident.

The area might deep inside from main entrance of Pak navy facility and doubtfully the attack start on a ship which was on Dock or may be moved a little into the ocean, in this case it's impossible for outsiders to notice it, Navy officials not such fool that they start telephones to media Channels hey come on we have a terror attack and air it:confused:
They keep it secret coz few captured alive and first 24 hours was important to interrogate them and trace other routes.
It's just my observations, let's see if Navy officials bing out some other informations.

So the media coverage of that lunatic outside the parliament was actually a good thing. Media creates more panic and give these terrorists the coverage that they wish. Their strategy is not to cause damage, but to spread their fear and terror. And man, Pakistan desperately needs new laws. All these Manghopirs, Sohrab Goths and Afghani slums shouldn't exist. In China, not every tom, dick and harry is allowed to relocate to Shanghai and Beijing. You need government permission before moving there.
Similar laws should apply in Pakistan to Karachi, Islamabad, Lahore, Gwadar etc... In Pakistan one day a person in Waziristan is renting his house to terrorists, and on the next day, the same person moves to any city in the country without any regulation or background check.

PS: There should be new tenancy laws too. Before renting a home to some person, the landlord should ask for the person's cnic or passport and store it. These Afghanis have been purchasing property in the heart of Islamabad, of all the places, without any identification sadly, and no one gives a f***. I wish our politicians had a basic IQ of above 80 to make such laws..
