Teknofest 2019

Question about teknofest istanbul:
Teknofest Istanbul is being advertised as “the 2nd largest aviation fair in the world.” I wonder then what is the biggest aviation fair in the world?

Turns out, its bournemouth

*was :)

From what I could find on the internet Bournemouth air show gathered only 700k people in 2018. So they actually used the maximum number of attendees the festival ever got to compare. I'm more impressed now that I've seen them do this.

It's such a great move creating Teknofest. We finally have a world wide fair that attracts and will increasingly continues to attract worldwide audience for this. It establishes a narrative that Turkey is a trustworthy country when is comes to aviation.

I hope people will put down their political-colored glasses down and celebrate what is undoubtedly the best achievement we've managed in this sector.

This isn't about AKP, this is about Turkey, even if it was AKP and their side that strated this. Please don't let politics ruin and rob us of yet another milestone in the industialization of Turkey.

Remember the Devrim car, remember why a simple tank of gas was used to tell people that "if they didn't even manage to put petrol in the car how can these idiots be trusted in actually creating a feasable and useable product".

It's the same line that is being used today, don't fucking fall for it. Tell people that the Cezeri flying car is important not because it makes sense today, but because it's a testbed for what might make sense in 10 years.

I don't care that the guys producing anything that will further Turkey is Muslim or not. I don't even care if he's a Turk or if she's an Armenian. Neither should you.
