Tejas : Story of a pie in the sky.

By introducing Tejas to crowded fighter jet market , india is making it cheaper for fighter jet buyers. It's gonna hurt bottom line of some country that is desperate for revenue .. it's buyers market .
It's going to be one hell of a photo session, Tejas being unloaded from the back of a transporter without wings, getting towed to one side before being assembled....something often witnessed with helicopters, JF-17 on the other hand, conducting a fly by before landing and taking it's place on the venue to a waiting crowd.

I think they cant risk that. its going to be flying there. lets be a little gentle there/ although for the clueless A-rabs it wont make any difference.. they will be mostly bored munching food or eyeing the Kafir female Indians and Western women

You can laugh at all you want, post Bahrain value of jf17 going to go down. Good for buyers.
Headlines will be:
War of budget fighters

pakistanis are more concerned about tejas...
wonder why that is so??

All I can say about the article, the author should actually mention that the CAG reports are actually based on quite old data, about more than 5 years.
We still see different scams of congress getting unearthed which were done about 7 years ago.

My point of making this point is simple. BETWEEN IOC2 and present situation a good amount of time has flowed through to overcome the difficulties and that has what made the IAF to order the aircrafts.

For people ridiculing it , please go on. Your ridiculing will not stop its progress.

Thanks and Good Morning.

hope it will be on it own :D not on a truck

The Chinese one is unmanned. All manned aircrafts are displayed as fly- over.

egazatly....
When we Indians parade Tejas, you lot make fun.
When pointed that everyone does the same, we get loads of excuses..

There is a difference, if you haven't noticed. That is between mere transport and display in parade. Tejas on truck is not just getting from point A to point B. It is to show off to people. Different countries choose different ways to show off. Indian's way is different from Chinese. That is all.

BTW,When did CAG said Tejas was only 35% indigenous ? That's a claim that is taken out of its context..

Second, there is simply NO 53 'technical flaws'.It is basically non compliance with ASR requirements (1985)

Of these 20 are permanent waivers, allowed by IAF like the increased MTOW.

The rest,33 will be rectified before FOC

For arguments sake let's believe that 35% figure. So the author wants to scrap the LCA program because its only 35% indigenous and go for Gripen, which costs thrice and is 0% Indian.

Why would you even take this article seriously?
Starting in 1983, the Tejas fighter aircraft was touted as the marvel of Indian technology which would make an entire nation of a billion people proud

When the author is not aware that population of India was not billion in 1983.
