Tejas FOC Delayed by another Six Months

It is proving to be "Never coming aircraft"

Naaa,

There are some queries which are yet to answered by all involved in the project, till that time production will be slow and it will be another 2-3 years as the PSUs are known for their laziness and get into panic mode when last date arrives. Those who handled PSU orders knows it well and I am one of their clients who is struggling to convince them that a large order instead of small will cost you more and competitive pricing only possible if order is more and its delivery patterns are rationalized.

Well, then about time all employees of HAL are fired and offered to work on contract. If they don't work their contract is not renewed. If this is important to India, India should hire few ex-Toyotas and let them put together assembly lines.
This is a luxury which govt jobs provides you. All of HAL, Ordinance factories as most of DRDO employees - are of low productivity as well as there is no incentive for achievement.

Keep your 2 penny country and attitude out of it false flagger. "It will hit you where it hurts!!!"

Won't be the first delay, and won't be the last. JF-17 achieved IOC in 2010. It would be a miracle if Tejas can achieve IOC in 2020.

In order to achieve IOC there must a complete squadron of at least 12 planes.

AFAIK, Tejas SP-10 won't even fly this year. After that, they still need 2 more SP planes to complete a squadron for IOC to happen.

A small correction LCA IOC has been achieved 3years back.

Not by America standard. In America IOC can only be achieved when a squadron of at least 10 planes is available.

The F-35C still has yet to achieve so-called Initial Operating Capability (IOC), when the first squadron of 10 aircraft and their crews are trained, equipped, and ready to fight.

In India a plane can achieve IOC when the first prototype has completed first test flight.

By India standard Su-57 has already achieved IOC.
