Well, my friend, even if Tejas gives performance a tad below of JF17, I would still be very happy. JF17, no doubt is ahead in maturity. PAF should be appreciated for that.

First, it is a huge morale booster for our scientists and citizens. You may know there has been rarely any praise for the people involved in development of aircraft. Ofcourse, program is delayed but most of the criticism is due to import love. IAF thinks that they should buy 300 Rafale. They do not care about the financial burden.

Second, a good performance in the show will silence the critics.

I agree, even if the performance is lacking currently, it can still be improved upon as its your own product.
