It is years now that Iranian western cities are witnessing a very unhealthy dusty environment. This phenomenon started couple of years ago and it is getting worse day after day. Experts claim it to be a direct result of Saddam Hussein drying up march lands in south of Iraq during Iraqi invasion of Iran 1980-88.
Even some experts announced that the dusts contain dangerous levels of Uranium. Uranium that being used by Western allies when overthrowing Saddam regime back in 2003 and earlier at 1991.
Different governments of Iran tried with different approaches, from distributing MARCH (oil based stuff) on Iraqi lands of trouble to recreating palm gardens around the area. Non of these initiatives actually worked as Iran could not finish doing its therapy for unknown reasons.
People of Iran are suffering hard from these dusts. Specially in Western side of Iran, and for most, the Iranian city of Ahvaz which already had its own sources of air pollution from industrial complexes around it.
I wonder if there is any cures for this horrible disaster that affect the lives of millions of people in Iraq, Kuwait, KSA and Iran.
