The DoD and the Pentagon are about to release a big package for the Pak Armed Forces, this will include a large number of self propelled guns, the numbers being negotiated, are substantial also include targeting systems.

Eh, we're talking about US Congressmen/women who have to approve the transfer how many of them do you think care to look at the specifications? Just hearing that this version is A7 and there are only 7 different versions, would make it seem to them that this is the most state of the art system they have.

Regardless of "free" or not free, these systems will be paid for out of that fund set u for Pakistan where the Military will be reimbursed a certain percentage to carry out COIN in the Western Tribal areas. Pakistan has a habit of using that fund combined with the already existing aid packages to buy American equipment/ training.
