Talks on Indus waters in Delhi next week between Pakistan and India

.
Pardon me but sadly, you are mistaken about the hindu fascist patel. Patel was directly responsible for killing muslims particularly East Punjab and his letters to sikh and hindu princes of Punjab and Rajasthan is open to read. His invasion of Hyderabad and the subsequent massacre is history. He is for this reason a favourite of hindus.

Patel was the reason why congress rejected the cabinet mission. He was the principle force to partition the muslim majority provinces even though muslim league passed resolutions against partitioning these muslim majority provinces.

According to Alastair Lamb, it was patel and baldev singh who were interfering in Kashmir and can be held responsible for Jammu genocide which started a cycle of violence. During the war, patel even wanted to attack as far as peshawar and bring entire S. Asia under hindu rule. his letters are open.

Ideally, Pakistan should have offered junagadh and Hyderabad to india in exchange for Kashmir without any plebiscite as early as mid sept 47 - success could not have been guaranteed but it would have been a good choice.

Please be aware, hindus and india itself is an ideological and civilizational enemy of Pakistan and muslims. Peace with hindus is impossible imo.
yes he was, but he had practical solution for Kashmir
congress as whole back by sikh community was the reason why punjab was divided not one personality

.
Lol at the Indian posts about scrapping the treaty and taking more water (beyond the agreement). Go right ahead, as a lower riparian state China can end the living of 800 million Indians if you decide to play water wars.
Modi ain't stupid, the last time he hinted vaugly at this the Chinese sent words through diplomatic channels at what they would do. Of course he $hit himself and hasn't spoken like this since.

Except Bhramaputra that has a fairly long run through China before entering India, rest of the rivers which originate in China are not suitable for daming on Chinese side of LAC ..due to there very short run with China itself and himlayan terrain, most of their water comes from glaciers in India itself.

Eg Ganges river

Run-of-the-river and you are careful to state that.
Try disrupting the supply and see what happens.

You're at the mercy of the Chinese, hence why you don't go far. Don't act tough, you can't do anything yourselves.....
The government of Pakistan disagrees. Which is why they go to court each time India starts a dam. Are you saying you disagree with your Government and military's position?

Thanks for ur reply. Nehru or Patel or whatever. They were all anti muslim and Pakistan in their own ways.

Patel wanted plebiscite for all three states after sheikh abdullah was released from prison as an agreement was reached between hari singh and abdullah brokered by nehru and patel. They knew very well that a referendum under poodle sheikh and hari singh administration would have pro india results.

apart from this, Hindu Hari Singh could not have massacred Jammu muslims without backing from Patel in particular as it was Patel who was sending individuals particularly hindutva terrorist Mahajan as PM of Kashmir.

Patel was instrumental in vitiating the Kashmir situation by sending patiala troops well before the so called Pakistani tribal action.

Purpose is not to argue needlessly, but to present some sad facts. But I totally agree, Pakistan should have sensed this trap and made an offer the hindus could not refuse.

Lol ,when will Pakistan learn to stop waiting fir someone else to do their job, learn guys and learn fast.
Did you notice how not ONE LOC suicide/accidental death/kidnapping by yeti has been reported by Hindustan since the Pakistanis announced a desire for rapprochement?

You were bleeding very nicely by a thousand cuts. We enjoyed reading about those cuts in the weekly "suicide column" of your regional press. But, hey ho, pause in "suicides" while blades are sharpened.
Yeah that's why from imrans no talks untill article 370 and 35 A are reinstated to we want talks and peace ,yeah man Pakistan was bleeding India , sure.

They know their situation otherwise being a mod himself would not have started China and derailed the thread from topic.

Right I have discussed this before.

The rivers as mentioned before get most of their flow from their Tibetan origins. When they enter Nepal, India etc they are already cascading, yes internal sources add to the flow, but the origin gives the momentum to the river so it can reach the entire drainage basin.

lake Rakshastal (Chinese side) before it goes to form the Sultej.

Yarlung Tsangpo (Chinese side) before it becomes the Brahmaputra.

Kongque River (Chinese side) which forms the ghaghara river, a major tributary of the Ganga.

Take the Ganga for an example it's largest tributary by discharge is the Ghaghara, average annual flow of about 2,991 m3/s (105,600 cu ft/s), which stems from China Tibet.

This is also true for the Sultaj;

More than 50% of the annual flow of Satluj river comes from snow and ice melt from China!

According to experts such as Veen, Feddema,J eelani, and Stearns it is even as high as 59%.
The contributions of rain and smaller streams within India are small.

The total glacier stored water for 2026 glaciers in Satluj basin was 69 cubic kilometres. About 56% of the total volume (37 cubic kilometres) was stored in large glaciers (with an area of above 5 sq. km) covering an area of 517 sq km. The largest glacier found in the study area was from the Tibetan region (CHINA), which was found to occupy an area of 66.8 sq. km and contained 6.5 gigatonne (Gt) of ice. Most of the glaciers contained less than 0.1 Gt of ice.

The Brahmaputra is just as reliant.

Tibetan glaciers contribute to Indian river systems, and it is very substantial. Thank you to the academics (UK) for showing me this.

Here's one such research paper on the Brahmaputra;

https://tc.copernicus.org/preprints/tc-2019-211/tc-2019-211.pdf

the sustainable supply of GS melt, which is susceptible to climate change, is the key to the local freshwater security, flood prevention and control, and hydroelectric development

The GS melt serves as an essential water supplier for the Brahmaputra river system

results of Lutz et al. (2014), which showed that GS melt constitutes 33% of the total discharge in the Brahmaputra and that 50% of the annual melt occurs in the summer

I'm not sure what your views are regarding wars and wether you back them.
The government of Pakistan disagrees. Which is why they go to court each time India starts a dam. Are you saying you disagree with your Government and military's position?

The military hasn't said anything of late. Politicians raise it for diverting from the real problem i.e. wastage. 80% of the water is lost through poor storage.
The bottom line is, you are in no place to play water games.

If we honestly speak about the current situation then unfortunately it is due to Pakistan's Establishment which allowed India to built illegal dams. If it was a country like Turkey, they would have bombed the hell out of such illegal indian dams. But unfortunately india got away because it knew there are bunch of pacifists and cowards in Pakistan who are more interested in housing schemes rather than the future of the country.

India is not an imperialist aggressor unlike your iron biradars, we only fight to defend ourselves and our lands not to occupy others territory. Bhutto was ready to return pakistan held Kashmir to us in exchange for pakistani POWs but our merciful leaders allowed POWs to go home without taking anything in return.

India started '47 by sending miltiary support for a genocidal dictator, '65 by invading Lahore and Sialkot, I don't even need to get started on '71. Not to mention the constant warmongering in 2001, 2008, 2016, and 2019-now.

Lmao, if Bhutto was ready to give up AJK then India would've taken it. Indira Gandhi is the most brutal dictator of the subcontinent behind Zia-ul-Haq, one of India's objectives in 1971 were to balkanise West Pakistan. She would not give up Kashmir out of the goodness of her heart. This fantasy of yours is even more delusional than the F-16 shootdown and Bajwa's trembling legs.

You people live in your own fantasy world, your knowledge of history and facts is different from rest of the world, can't quite argue with you.

"If he disagrees with my delusions then he is living in a fantasy world" - Indian logic. Don't you people think you're some 10000 year old civilisation because you named your country after Sindh?

We are undoubtedly thousands of year old civilization and we haven't named our country after Sindh but our Aaryan race and King Bharat. Like I said you people live in your own fantasy world and your knowledge of facts contradicts rest of the world.
