The drone in question is MQ-9 Reaper which is a robust drone and have defenses against jamming. Reapers and Global Hawks have performed well in the EW environment of Syria.

Now is the time to panic!!! The Trump administration needs to take hold of the situation not to let it be further complicated both from the domestic and international perspectives!!!!

If the Pak leverage over Taliban, whatever is left, is lost to Russia/Iran etc. it'll be the "game over" for the USA!!! In Syria, Israil and other factors are tying up the Russian hands!!!! But, Afganistan is a "free pass" coupled with the "historical" baggage!!! Quite a message....

most likely satellite link was lost and the drone experienced an unforeseen weather event like wind shear. there doesn't appear to be damage due to a weapon but rather breakup upon rapid uncontrolled decent. either way, there are two munitions and comms equipment that would fetch something on the black market.
