Taliban leader Mullah Omar killed in Pakistan

Afghan television channels are not reliable. Wait until if other more reliable sources reports.

.
Maybe he was killed by his own members. Maybe he became dead weight to them after OBL was terminated.

.
i will wait for confirmation. if its true, the pressure might just add up on pakistan. first OBL and then MUllah Omar both found inside pakistan.

The only certain thing, if this news is indeed true, is that the US was not involved in this killing otherwise Obama would have claimed it first thing today!

.
"Tolo" or afghan news is not reliable. Lets see if the Pakistani or American say anything

.
TOI is also flashing same news.. looks like OBL operation gave wake up call to ISI and Army

. .
as of now new zealand herald is also reporting but i think it would be better to wait for official confirmation

Little is publicaly known of Taleban leader Mullah Omar, and few photos of him exist, but he has been reported killed this week. Photo / suppliedThe Afghan media is reporting that Mullah Mohmmad Omar, the leader of the Taleban, has been found and killed, although there is no official confirmation at this stage.

Mullah Omar was shot dead as he was being moved from Quetta to North Waziristan two days ago, according to Afghan news outlet TOLOnews.

He was the spiritual leader of the Taleban movement that operates in parts of Afghanistan and Pakistan, operating as Afghanistan's de facto head of state from 1996 to late 2001, under the official title 'Head of the Supreme Council'.

The FBI has been hunting Mullah Omar since October 2001 for sheltering Osama bin Laden and al-Qaeda militants in the years prior to the September 11 attacks.

News that he has been killed comes three weeks after US president Barack Obama confirmed that bin Laden had been found and shot dead in Pakistan.

Again only the afghan "media" is claiming that he's dead. No Pakistani or American officals or even media is reporting it.

. . .
Another important kill in Pakistan. Sounds familiar, doesn't it? Another important leader of the terrorist network killed. Bravo !! Whoever killed him, well done.

. . .
I don't know what you people don't understand. Only some random weird afghan station is reporting the news and other news agencies have just taken the afghan news channels words. No American/Pakistan official has said anything to confirm the news. afghan news channels are known to have dubious sources and are not reliable

Genmiraj, use your brain, the NZ Herald is simply reproducing the information found on other site the article even states "according to Afghan news outlet". You've been on this forum long enough to know better. This isn't convincing nor is the information confirmed by authorities.

As of now I think it's possibly this happened, but certainly official confirm is required.
