So now Afghanistan is going to be ruled now by a bunch of ak47 wielding bearded guys , riding on pick up trucks ( now upgraded to Humvees )

Last time those guys where in charge investment in the country dropped to zero and so did the education , medical care and social conditions. I see no reason it would be different now,

Basically what we have is one group in Afghanistan forcing it's will on all the rest.

Those people hanging from the evacuating airplanes show how " optimistic " are they about the rule of the Taliban.

The situation in Afghanistan is no where near as bad as in india. In india, over 4 million died recently from coronavirus:

Not even 4 million afghans have died in 42 years from the Soviet and then american led invasions. Also, over 732 million indians (not afghans) defecate in the open:

Question is will China even put a single RMB till they feel their investment is secure. Russia can supply energy (Gas/Oil) and weapons but no investment. Iran will treat Afghanistan as transit route to China/Russia if things go normal but no investment so soon...and Pakistan....we will just pray things go our way (so that we can provide them access to port, export things to them and get some earnings)...but again Pakistan will do so if they see Afghanistan can pay in return.....so at present.....it wait and watch for everyone.....

No doubt that the presence of NATO forces on Pakistani border had become an existential threat to Pakistan.

They used Afghanistan as an excuse to impose their military domination over Pakistan... well, they tried.

NATO's language, their tone, their warnings and their threats directly and indirectly hurled towards Pakistan during the two decades had made it clear they would not accept Pakistan as an independent Islamic nuclear power and they invaded Afghanistan for it (just 3 years after Pakistan had detonated the Islamic Bomb in 1998).

But in the end, they lost and we won.

Afghanistan has been liberated and Pakistan has defeated NATO, the most technologically advanced military alliance in history on a very complex and confusing military chess board which the adversary lost the will to play anymore. They forgot the rules of the game.

Now, NATO can spend the next two decades trying to figure out what happened, how and why they lost and how and why Pakistan won.

Right back at ya. Since Afghans and Vietnamese both fought wars against an American led military force of the West that occupied their lands. Also, using the argument of "most people killed" is deflective, not a response to my post. So I suggest you go back to the drawing board and try again.
