engines has only limited lifetime/mileage. and that's where the US gets all money back from these second hand tanks.

U.S. Army wants to close it down. Congress does not. And yes they are developing a new tank. Be coming out in a few years.

Right now they just refurbished damaged tanks. You be surprise how awesome they do it. Theres a video of it, I'll look.

Thanks for a great video!!! The job they do is simply great. But I think manufacturing a new tank will be a lot easier.

While watching the video I kept thinking one thing. With the temperature of the engine going as high as 600C, the tank is an easy target against a capable adversary. In that scenario, rebuilding will not be a great option, no matter how commendable the job these people do. Also the engine looks very high maintenance.
