Taiwan: Report Highlights Fighter Gap with China
A report issued May 11 by the Washington-based US-Taiwan Business Council highlights the need to improve Taiwan's air defense capabilities in response to a growing threat by China."The Balance of Air Power in the Taiwan Strait" is clearly a plea for the release of 66 F-16C/D Block 50/52 fighters, now on hold by the U.S. government since Taiwan's initial request in 2006.
