Tailback will ease after construction of flyovers, says Obaidul | | daily sun
DHAKA: Communications Minister Obaidul Qauder on Friday said there will be no traffic congestion in the city after completing the flyovers, underpasses, link roads and overpasses.
The minister came up with the hope while talking to the reporters after visiting the under construction Mirpur-Airport flyover in citys cantonment area.
The construction work of the flyovers, underpasses, link roads and overpasses would be completed by 2013, Qauder hoped.
Project Director Brigadier General Abu Syed Mohammad Masud was present during his visit.
Expressing satisfaction over the construction work of the firm of Engineering Construction Battalion, Obaidul Quader said Mirpur-Airport Road flyover construction work is going on in full swing.
In response to a query on a remark of Sheikh Hasina Unprecedented development has been done in communication sector while addressing the nation to mark the three years tenure of AL-led grand alliance government, Obaidul Quader said, After completing the flyovers, underpass, link roads and overpasses, people will realise what the premier said.
The flyover will be considered a milestone in communication sector, he added.
Project Director Masud said, After completing the Mirpur-Airport flyover, the inhabitants of Mirpur will go to the airport within ten minutes.
