What nonsense... Dr. TuQ was not there to get permission to contest elections, he was there to tell judiciary exactly same that no one is allowed to contest elections, while he is dual national.

General public never knew about this clause until Dr.TuQ pointed to it.

My question, how about a political leader having a foreign wife or children?

How about Pakistanis nationals, who hate to speak in national language? ANP and PPP is one example.

I'm sure this is a very wrong precedence... since his violent reinstatement.

That's the most hapless remark by an overseas Pakistani I have ever read ! This so called junk piece of sh!t is issued to every Pakistani, since it's a travel document it's more than safe to call it an identity document for those who are travelling abroad - pity on them who are ashamed of their identity.

Not at all my dear. NOT AT ALL! I and Pakistanis like me living abroad are very, very proud of who we are and where we have come from. I was just talking of the travel document. Not anything else.

Which is the right approach. But a dual national must not be denied application in court of law. This I think is the flawed argument in this case.

well like it or not but looks like CJ was also pissed off with his container drama .... Anyway i think qadri did a wrong move.. rather then filing the appeal himself he should have gotten someone else to do it.. there is a reason why other parties do it too.

How do you know there will be blood involved.. what i go for vote and get shot at. Rigging will become ineffective if we all vote.. IS the ECP really that bad?? IS he soo corrupt that there is no chance of fair election?

Who is going to amend the law?
That dual nationals shouldn't be allowed to take part in pakistani politics? & even couldn't vote in elections?
From now on, any relative of any dual national pakistani can take his propety & any valuble cause in pakistani courts he will hve no right to fight his case because he isn't been allowed by crooks like CJ?

Absolutely! I don't doubt overseas Pakistanis at large, TuQ is an exception. The point I raised was what better could be expected from a person who acquired Canadian travel document specifically for the purpose of relaxation in visa obtaining process. Surprisingly he reveals the reason openly!

To boot TuQ today was not denied on the basis of his dual nationality, please make a note of it. His petition was discorded because he failed to make out his case for exercising discretionary jurisdiction by supreme court! He could not prove his locus standi, the reason for supreme court to hear his constitutional petition..

The CJ is very clearly political. If dual nationals are to e impartially investigated and curbed then we'd need to ask how MQM, PPP and other parties can have dual nationals in the government and within their political offices.
