Tagging Menace

Hi @WebMaster @Horus @Oscar ,

Some members like @Magnet and @Pomegranate among others are on a taggging spree, they tag many including me on threads which I do not have interest in.

I have told them many times to not tag me and so have others but they seem not to give up this irritating habit.

Can you please help me?

Also, I think that others also feel the same about these members and they can please agree with me on this thread for Moderators to take suitable action.

Put obnoxious members on your ignore list!!! You can choose when to read their articles, if your interested, but wont be bothered by them tagging you. Or, you can alter your profile alert options to have no tags registered as an alert.

I agree with your sentiment and would like to see an option to avoid a tag by certain people without opting to ignore them, though i'm not too often a victim of a group tagging, but there are resources available already for use to prevent being bothered by someone tagging you.

In FB, I can remove the tags by I cannot edit his posts and also @SvenSvensonov I keep getting alerts even after I put him in my Ignore list.

Put obnoxious members on your ignore list!!! You can choose when to read their articles, if your interested, but wont be bothered by them tagging you. Or, you can alter your profile alert options to have no tags registered as an alter.

Agree, I can completely remove the alerts for tags but don't want to miss on alerts from people who are genuine in their intention.

Actually I mean most of our overly nationalistic Chinese members (those I converse with are fine), a few Indians and Pakistanis and myself. Mostly people with their head up their arse or who act like a bu**hole.

Sometimes I'd like to read their comments without needing to select the "see ignored content" option, but don't want to be bothered with their stupidity, quotes or tagging of any content I may have in the same thread.

Still, as noted, there are options that can be exercised that will achieve the same effect, it just takes a bit longer.

I think they look at the "online members" area and just copy paste all there.

If that's the case, it's an easy fix. Just make your profile online status hidden. Can you ascertain whether or not I'm online or on this thread?

I am hidden but I still get managed to get tagged to every other thread out there !
