capability wise generally yes, put performance wise we have an edge.
Bhisma is Modified Version of T-90S. These tanks were made by Uralvagonzavod and the updated 1,000 hp (750 kW) engines were delivered by Chelyabinsk Tractor Plant.updated version has it. The basic S (Bhishma) version has 840.
thats one of the reasons why i said its about how one uses weaponry in a battlefield that makes the difference. But since the thread is abt tank vs tank so focus. As I said..it is not tank vs tank. Tanks are not used in a battle field that way. The real enemies of tanks are helicopters, anti tank missiles, fighters and bombers.
read my comparison post fully first. Wikipedia info doesnt really matter.Bhisma is Modified Version of T-90S. These tanks were made by Uralvagonzavod and the updated 1,000 hp (750 kW) engines were delivered by Chelyabinsk Tractor Plant.

Propulsion
The T-90S will be powered by a 1,000 hp V-92S2 four-stroke V-12 diesel engine. This new engine, fitted with a turbo-supercharger, offers impressive specific power and specific fuel consumption characteristics. The tank can carry up to 1600 litres of fuel in the main, armour plated fuel tanks and fuel drums. The tank is provided with a snorkel for deep fording (up to 5 metres of water) with equipment which can be deployed in 20 minutes. The mechanical transmission includes primary reduction gear, two planetary final gearboxes and two planetary final drives. The running gear features torsion bar suspension with hydraulic shock absorbers at 1, 2 and 6 road wheel stations and tracks with rubber-metallic pin hinges.
These status are from 2009 and is a comparison on basic versions of both tanks.

Gunship in enemy's airspace will require a complete SEAD and total air superiority.Neither India or Pakistan currently can achieve that in case of a war.So it will come down to tank vs tank in Thar.I think the tank comparison discussion can be closed by having capable attack helicopters. No matter how good a tank is, a good attack helicopter can take care of it.
T-90 is an upgraded T-72. T-72 burnt like a wood house when it was confronted by Americans in Iraq.
I m not even sure how even most capable tanks can survive when the adversary has a fleet of gunship helicopters. Just my two cents.
