There are two different types of configurations in visualizations and mock-ups. One of them has a 30mm single-barreled cannon on nose and MWR radome at top on the rotor, while the other configuration shows a three-barelled 20mm cannon (and a modular MWR system on wing pylon/or under hull).

In other words, I think there is no clear information on whether the final version of the helicopter will be as it appears behind Anıl Şahin, or whether both configurations are intended to be used.

I think the T-129 is over as far as PAA goes as having a "split buy" makes no financial, operational or logistical sense - I do see PAA getting the ATAK-II T929 as the replacement for the AH-1Zs. The T-929's looks like it is coming along nicely. Hopefully it is ITAR free this time around!

while Pakistan needs new Attack helicopters now, and therefore should get some Z-10ME, Turkish industry could be helpful while their engine technology matures.

Perhaps Turkey could be offered the opportunity to upgrade the current fleet of Ah-1S/F to the same standard as what was done for Bahrain. Systems for the T-129 could be integrated onto the Cobras and Pakistan can work with the Turks to refine the T-929 for Pakistani needs with experience operating the Upgraded Cobras and Z-10ME. Pakistan could also work with a Turkey to overhaul the airframes and engines on these Cobras, and lay the ground work for a local helicopter industry in Pakistan.

Once the PAA has enough new Attack helicopters, these could be given to the Pakistan Marines or moved to lower intensity missions with the FC or with Pakistani peacekeepers with the UN.

Turkey has learnt a valuable lesson and future they will never rely on a friend like America for anything in their weapons platforms

10 ton ATAK-2 is free like a bird and beautiful like a butterfly for the WEST has ZERO say it it....

16 x 70mm (2.75’’) CIRIT Guided ATGM Missiles or,
8 x UMTAS Anti - Tank Missiles (2x quad pylon) and two other pods or,
8 x STINGER Air-to-Air Missiles.

Personally, I believe it is possible for the T-129 to carry 16x UMTAS, both in terms of payload capacity and wingspan. However, I am not sure if such a configuration is needed in a light attack reconnaissance helicopter. Even though it has not been put into service yet, METEKSAN has an under-wing MWR solution. If this helicopter will be directly involved in the anti-armored operations, it would be a more logical solution to carry this radar with 8 x UMTAS.

T-129 is a Reconnaissance and Tactical Attack Helicopter. Mainly developed for: Armed Reconnaissance, Preciese Strike, Armed Escort, Fire Support, Suppression of Enemy Air Defence, Deep Strike and Security / Urban Warfare.

We will probably see the configuration consisting of 16 UMTAS and 2 A-A in ATAK-2. Because I think it is almost certain that ATAK-2 will be preferred by the navy.
