The answer is yes

You think its the right place for MMR?
I don't know, there are other pics as well but they seem to be conseptional designs and don't deserve to be taken seriously because every people working on this project says it will be placed under the body.

This is the radar but actually it is much more smaller than the pic above

I didn't mean any foreign source. CEO Kotil said that it is not certain to use MİLDAR.

@Bismarck MILDAR will be used for sure because one of the reasons to develop the Heavy Heli was to have the Mildar on the heli

They tried to put it in the T-129 before but there was no room left and the radar was too heavy
So, they improved the radar, made it smaller and lighter at the same time.

USA Steps up the game. TAI has to provide us updates on their package also as well as the engine status, or else other sources like USA here or even Russia with rumored Mi-28 sales will sweep the PH tender away. :(

DSCA approval is about giving permission institutes for potential sale of US weapons for related countries. It has actually nothing to do with desicion of costumer to be given in following period. That is what we are expecting to take about LHTEC engines for Atak but I think They won't give this privillages to clear the way of their institutes in export markets until domestic engine became a reality in the field of such areas where they are actively marketing the products.

I am aware. But what I am trying to say is that this will surely put TAI on a form of back foot. They have to now dole out the details of the deal with the PH, as well as the actual status of the engine deal so as to solidify. We have an MOU already with TAI, but that is about it.

I was able to get an article saying that there has been an order of 10 units already, but just not sure of the veracity of the report.

I think it is already very obvious that I am Filipino and I very much want the ATAK deal to push through with us.

What i dont understand is that how your president(R.Duterte) is not against the US offers, isnt he anti USA and pro China?
Why no Chinese offer(Z10)?
Btw,at the end of this year all tests will be done and the indigenous engine will be ready for use.

Duterte may not like the US but Philippines has national security issues that needs be adressed. The offer given is just anothet example of the US squeezing whatever they can get from Philippines. Kaplan mmwt, atak, uav are what we can help with. Elbit is pretty much shoveling money from Philippines on many projects.

You have see how hard pressed Philippines economy is. Laid off naval vessels, that’s what they have to make do with.

To help Philippines you need to develop mindanao and spratley islands.

Oh, that is a common misconception. In fact, he is just tightroping USA, Russia, and China. He recently spoke with Trump(whom I do not like in general despite supporting Duterte) and has always been amenable with him. He only dislikes USA officials, as well as the Western Liberal media that has always tried to paint him in a bad light, as well as USA officials who try to stick their nose into our affairs. The goal is to have an independent foreign policy above all else, and to be friendly with all powers.

I was friends with a senior Armed forces consultant who recently passed away, and he always told me that they are not leaning on any nation for arms-only that they want the best possible equipment without being too dependent on a single one. Issue with USA arms procurement is that there will always be some form of strings attached.

Anyway, I hope TAI and TEI can give their respective announcements soon.
