James article says you don't make active intensifier tubes the main part of EO. Don't say your EO is indigenous please.
And still no clear movie of the rest of the stuff

The final version of T129 will enter the service beyond 2016 if I am not wrong. and by that time the image intensifier project will be finished. Turkey army urgently needs this helos and that's why army decides to start using it from 2013 no need to say by replacement of those parts which are not ready yet. Most of these initial delivered helos will be upgraded to some extends.

The image intensifier project is under early development stages so there is no specification.

Why are you guys attacking Farag btw? You are making yourselves look bad.

He asked a question (his motive behind the question is irrelevant), from the link provided by Quasar, we learned that the development of the image intensifier tube is in early stages. That is basicly the answer.

It would also be very helpful to know how much percent of this helicopter is endogenously designed currently and what the goal is for the future. If this info isn't available, than that's fair enough. If it was answered earlier in the thread, then there is still no need to attack the person that asked the question. This thread is 19 pages long, not everyone has the patience and the time to read the whole thread. Basicly try to understand where the person is coming from.

Also I got a question relating this topic; what is the image intensifier tube? Is it part of the helicopter, part of the FLIR? Or maybe part of the helmet?

Along with IIR guided UMTAS, Laser guided one will also be an option for export markets.
Serial production is expected to commence in early 2013. UMTAS and CIRIT use a common laser seeker, which enables the combination of both systems in the same configuration for customised solutions.

The new T-129 B2 Variant whose manufacturing process will be commenced in 2016.

TAI started design/modification of a new variant of T-129 Atak called B2 to be manufactured in 2016 (Latest 21 T-129 Atak will be manufactured B2 variant). The take-off weight of B2 is planned to be increased between %5-%10 (max. 500kg), While new generation avionic systems/hardwares will be connected(!) to gain aprox. %50 lighter weight of current A version's avionics. Such efforts will make B2 to be able to carry more weapon payload and gained increased range. The Nose section will be re-designed/quite longer than standart A and B1 versions for Meteksan developed MMW radar integration.
