Syrian plane intrudes into Israeli airspace

The myth of the Israeli Defence Forces was blown with the recent war with Lebanese Fighters. Israel earned its first defeat and had to retreat. Just like the myth of the Indian Forces in Kargil was blown.

neither side could claim victory. It was pretty much a stalemate on the ground and an royal kicking of Hezbollah you know what from the air. It would have been better for Hezbollah if they had not kidnapped the soldier. It awakened Israel to just how much anti armor weaponry they had. I can guarantee you they have learned from the experience. One result is the rapid deployment of anti missile defense systems on their armor. They have also made changes to their training and tactics.

Better to learn all that from a small war then find out in a all out major war.

Remember this? Talk about cowards and violating airspace!

Israelis ‘blew apart Syrian nuclear cache’

IT was just after midnight when the 69th Squadron of Israeli F15Is crossed the Syrian coast-line. On the ground, Syria’s formidable air defences went dead. An audacious raid on a Syrian target 50 miles from the Iraqi border was under way.

At a rendezvous point on the ground, a Shaldag air force commando team was waiting to direct their laser beams at the target for the approaching jets. The team had arrived a day earlier, taking up position near a large underground depot. Soon the bunkers were in flames.

Ten days after the jets reached home, their mission was the focus of intense speculation this weekend amid claims that Israel believed it had destroyed a cache of nuclear materials from North Korea.

According to Israeli sources, preparations for the attack had been going on since late spring, when Meir Dagan, the head of Mossad, presented Olmert with evidence that Syria was seeking to buy a nuclear device from North Korea.

The Israeli spy chief apparently feared such a device could eventually be installed on North-Korean-made Scud-C missiles.

“This was supposed to be a devastating Syrian surprise for Israel,” said an Israeli source. “We’ve known for a long time that Syria has deadly chemical warheads on its Scuds, but Israel can’t live with a nuclear warhead.”

An expert on the Middle East, who has spoken to Israeli participants in the raid, told yesterday’s Washington Post that the timing of the raid on September 6 appeared to be linked to the arrival three days earlier of a ship carrying North Korean material labelled as cement but suspected of concealing nuclear equipment.

The target was identified as a northern Syrian facility that purported to be an agricultural research centre on the Euphrates river. Israel had been monitoring it for some time, concerned that it was being used to extract uranium from phosphates.

According to an Israeli air force source, the Israeli satellite Ofek 7, launched in June, was diverted from Iran to Syria. It sent out high-quality images of a northeastern area every 90 minutes, making it easy for air force specialists to spot the facility.

This weekend President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad of Iran sent Ali Akbar Mehrabian, his nephew, to Syria to assess the damage. The new “axis of evil” may have lost one of its spokes.

those coward jews are still standing tall though they are surrounded by half a dozen hostile country.

Zionist are support by America/West and their whore UN. Billions of dollars of American tax payer money, thousands of Churches, christian organization, and business sent money to Israel. Zionist are cowards, they don't want peace. They are killing thousands of innocent Palestinians every year.

I dont beleive this video is over Israeli airspace. None of the arab league nations have the balls. They only bark bark and bark...

Prob i would agree wid this video if it was an Iranian jetfighter. IMO they are the only ones with balls in that region.

with the help of uncle sam and co they are standing strong,.. no uncle sam and co no israel.....my uncle said to me once if all the arabs pissed at once towards israel all the jews will be washed to sea.

I am for the palestinian cause as they deserve a lot more.

Totally disagree with you. If not for Uncle Sam monitoring and control of its strong ally, Israel would have terrorised and wiped the whole region. They many be tiny but are a freakin mighty force.

Syrian's got balls.

Yes, you are true Syria got balls but no brains. It is planning to start a war with Israel which it knows it cannot win. So, picking a fight for no apparent reason by invading in some else's air space seems to be smart idea especially when you have no hopes of winning. That is balls indeed, but no common sense!

Hope you understand ..

You people have got to get your beliefs about Israel straight. Either the Jews run the US. Or the US run Israel. Which is it? Now do you see why nobody take your loony conspiracies seriously when you people cannot even agree on who runs whom?

Wrong they are not surrounded by any hostile neighbour they are surrounded by Allies that pretend to be there enemy this reality is becoming clearer by the day.:bunny:

that is so true! now egypt wants to build a separation wall too

I am not sure that's entirely true... if the airforce had that much succes they wouldn't have sent in thousands of back up troops. The initial plan was to rely on the IAF, but since it failed miserably, they had to send in troops who time and time again was cought in ambushes and was surrounded continously by hezbollah and their allies.

On 12 July, 2006 Hezbollah launched rocket attacks on Zar'it, Shlomi, and other areas. Hezbollah troops entered Israel and attacked two armoured IDF Humvees. Three Israeli soldiers were killed in the ground attack, two were wounded, captured, and taken to Lebanon.

In the morning of of 13 July, 2006 Israel retaliated striking back at Hezbollah rocket positions, supply bases, and various other targets. They also imposed a Coastal blockade.

After Hezbollah refused to stop firing rockets Israel then launched ground action on 23 July 2006. For sure Hezbollah surprised Israel with the amount of anti tank weaponry they had. Israel had become complacent. That however is no longer the case. Israel can actually thank Hezbollah for that. It was better for them to find out in a small action then to fight a concerted effort from it's enemies and find out.

I think the biggest refutation you have is to brand the opposition "conspiracy theories" whilst disregarding ample evidence that highlights that zionists are some of the biggest financiers of both the Dems and republicans parties. Heck...political pundits have highlighted that Obama's team is probably the most pro-Israel ever close to the president.

It's also no conspiracy that the Israeli lobby AIPAC makes the middle eastern foreign policy and sell it to the White House. And the white house being 'subservient lord' buy it with close eyes. Otherwise how do you explain giving tens of billions of aid to Israeli per year?

President Nixon even admitted zionist/jewish control over the media nearly 40 years ago. Was nixon also a conspiracy theorist?

That's a blatant lie.

Israelis were in Lebanese territory conducting surveillance when they were attacked by Hezbollah.

Not to mention Israeli's had been preparing this war for years, they were very much informed of the Hezbollah buildup, even the Israeli military leadership and some politicians revealed in public they had been preparing for the war for quite some time.

Even the Israeli media is much more open than American, Can't expect any better from you since your primary sources of info are either Fox News or CNN.
