That so called sword looks like it may have been used as a prop in Jaane bhi do yaaron movie.

It seems like there are at least 2 attackers. One of them appears after the first one is pushed back.

Unlikely to be a case of communal targeting, unless it was a Hindu dominated area, which is not clear. Hindus will not unleash violence upon Muslims by attacking a particular shop in this fashion in a Muslim neighbourhood. They are very likely to get thrashed, if not lynched themselves.
