Sweden confirms presence of mini-submarine inside its territorial waters in October

.
I wouldn't brag too much, the Russian Navy is roughly analogous to our Coast Guard at this point in time. It lacks the long-range patrol and power projection that it once had and is dominated by coastal protection craft... it just has less firepower, funding and coordination than our coast guard. The sub force is making a nice comeback, but it's too little in quantity to make any real difference beyond Russia's immediate vicinity.

As for the Swedish Navy, that's my homeland and I keep up on their latest developments. It isn't what it once was, and yes, the Russian Navy is still far superior to that of Sweden, but Sweden possesses some very high quality systems that can prove more than just a nuisance to the Russian Navy. Don't overestimate yourself and don't sell your enemy short. The Swedes knew the Russia's were in their waters.
A 10 meter long submarine! anyone can buy one on the open market. It all looks like some political false flag operation to convince Swedes to join NATO.
Swedes are very good and up-to-date technically speaking, but Russians are unbeatable in some technical fields where they lead.
If this was a Russian submarine (10 meter long...), and couldn't be detected by some of the best anti-submarine tech, it means that Russians have bitten the swedes in underwater warfare. And knowing that the Swedes or Scandinavians have bitten the US fleet in this same type of warfare (In exercises, many times over), than one can conclude that The Russian navy, and mostly its Submarine fleet, is - the least to say - extremely efficient and far more advanced than what some Europeans and others would like to believe.

If one is ignorant, one can certainly make such claims.

The truth is that the submarine hunting is limited to what sensors are capable of.

They cannot look through rock, to find a submarine hidden in a depression.

They have problems when the water is layered, and "pinging" bounces on the layers etc.

Some submarines are very quiet (like the Swedish Näcken-class), and some makes sounds
like a locomotive on a rampage (some Russian Nuclear subs)

If one is stupid he certainly can wright such a post.

The Swedish Defense published today the final report on the violation of Swedish Territorial waters in 2014.
It confirms the presence of at least one submarine, but does not identify the country responsible.
The conclusion is based on sensor data and traces of submarine activity found on the sea floor.
300 observations have been analyzed, and 21 of them confirms the presence of a sub at high confidence level.

Utom allt rimligt tvivel - Försvarsmakten (Swedish Press Release)
