These beasts don't just arrest people for eating beef, they murder them. They then scream and yell when Muslims ask for a blasphemer to merely be jailed.

I was thinking about this issue yesterday, and then I recalled something.

They won’t jail someone for blasphemy;

1. They won’t consider it blasphemy if it’s a different religion.
2. Freedom of speech (not how absolute this is considered in European countries, but it’s a solidly held principle in the US)

The best response to this is to challenge the burner and the society, use it as an opportunity to open up a dialogue.

I recall the quote from a European philosopher (Voltaire), just one of those that should be held up at any future burnings.
“If the book was dangerous, it should have been refuted. To burn a book of argument is to say: 'We do not have enough wit to reply to it.”
