All i feel that this idea of being brahmacharya is all insane and against the nature which indeed created imbalance for Gandhi.His instinct viz a viz sex remained intact due to which he somehow created so-called rules or ideas which allowed him to fulfill his sexual desires at the same time he also had a way to show he was a brahmacharya.

I am surprised by the pathetic statements being made about Mr Gandhi on this forum by Indians. In whichever manner that he did so, the fact remains that he was instrumental in obtaining independence from colonial Britain for the subcontinent. As for his private life, it was slandered on many occasions and refuted with facts by his family. The right wing Hindus of India who celebrate his assassination are unworthy of a response. Godse was an assassin and he murdered a man who was highly respected by the world including the founder of Pakistan, Mr Jinnah. Mr Gandhi's warm relationship with Pakistan and his defense of the Muslim population of India were not negatives. They expose the value which every Indian should embrace. India may (and judging from the attitude of most Hindus of India when I was recently there probably will) discard the legacy of Mr Gandhi. Fortunately the rest of the world continues to hold him in high esteem
