Suspected ISIS recruiter's home raided in Tirupur by IB officials
TIRUPUR: A group of officials, believed to be from the Intelligence Bureau, searched the house of alleged ISIS recruiter Mohammad Moshiruddin (25) in Tirupur early on Wednesday morning, and picked up his wife, their daughters, and his elder brother were picked up by the team and taken to an undisclosed location.
Neighbours told Express that about 20 officials in plainclothes searched the tin-roofed house at Andipalayam for about an hour. Moshiruddin’s elder brother Asathulla, wife Shahila and their two daughters aged five and two were taken to an undisclosed location.
The brothers and their families have been residing in Tirupur for the past six years, working at a farm in Andipalayam. Asathulla was residing at Mangalam along with his family while Moshiruddin stayed at the house near the farm where they worked, as he was also running a small grocery shop in the same locality.
The local police were not part of the searches today. Tirupur city police officials were not available for comment even after repeated attempts by Express.

- Originally from Bengal, He has been living in Tirupur for a few years, married a local muslim girl , Saira Banu, who he used to work with and had two children (gave them muslim names but called them using tamil pet names Illavarisi, Tamil Arasi)
- He operated many businesses, including a mess, a Saloon, grocery store and sold meat and alcohol at times, but was never involved in these businesses directly and used hired help to run them.
- Mushriuddin was in contact with IS handlers inside India and outside, via phone and internet, and seems to have been the in charge person for Tirupur.
- After his marriage he traveled often, staying out of station for over half the month. Everytime he returned he would bring 10-15 people with him, who have now been settled in various jobs around tirupur and maybe elsewhere. The full extent of this is being investigated.
- Suspected that atleast a 100 people might have sneaked through him. Police have requested people to check for ID proof before recruiting anyone.
