My friend Jamahir, think you should stop going on about your Libyan Jamahiriya.lool

yes, i must stop... at least reduce drastically... i must have pasted libya in most threads in my nine months of membership. :D

besides, there is our new member from libya itself, about whom i told you about a few days ago.

Yes you yourself know i have nothing against Libya, on the contrary i know Gadaffi was a very valuable leader who did fairly well for his people/Libyans(though this made them quite lazy/contented/resentful of others as the government paid everything for them.lol).

the lazy and over-contended part is very true... many of the modern libyan youth were materialistic, happy with their flashy cars ( paid for ) and good houses... when the time came to fight, most were shell-shocked.

every revolutionary society must make note of this.

You have to look forward not backwards, Gadaffi isnt coming back, nor his Jamahiriya.

well, venezuela is being turned into their interpretation of jamahiriya, with direct-democracy communes and all ( Building Socialism from Below: The Role of the Communes in Venezuela | Global Research - Centre for Research on Globalization )... after all, chavez and gaddafi were comrades.

also, we who propagated the "the universal theory" used to say in 2011/2012 that libya was only the first jamahiriya.

As i said geo politics is not a clean/moral game, its never been and never will it be. If people from other countries are stupid enough not to know how to protect their own interests or educated enough to know how geo politics/great game works, then they have only themselves to blsme, since countries will always do things that they thing serves their interests, doesnt matters how many thousands/hundreds of thousands die as a result. The earlier they learn that the better. So cant keep blaming the west/U.s forever, wouldnt change anything at all.:)

agreed.

.
This is so depressing.
I feel like picking this small girl in my arms and giving her a tight hug. I wish i could do something to take her out of the hell she's living in.

This picture gives us the perspective as to how bad things 're right now in Syria.

then go fight ISIS in syria then.:sniper::devil:
:enjoy:

I dont know the truth about Syria! I dont know if its Al-Assad I should fight against or the terrorists backed by countries (who want Syria to go down without a trace). It boils my blood to see innocents paying for the sins of others.
This kid's pic brings tears to my eyes, she doesn't deserve to be in Syria. I wish I could adopt her and the thousands of other kids and give them a better life....I wish!

Well im sure the few syrians who started the protests/'revolution' must be regretting the day they did that and wishing they could turn back the clock. They were quite naive to be honest, they dont seem to know how geo politics works, things arent always thwe way you see on T.V/media/hear from foreign politicians mouths. You have to always think in the long term and how your actions might affect your country and bring in foreign powers who have their own interests. So change is always better when it comes from within and GRADUALLY with reforms., else you invite yourselves to the great game by bigger powers if you want sudden/quick/radical change.:buba_phone:

Anyway lets forget about that, since Syrias fate is almost doomed/.decided. I wouldnt mind if you adopted me though.:smitten:

I agree to that!
The situation in Syria has turned from bad to worse. Arabian spring was definitely not what it appeared on the surface. Nobody saw the undercurrents coming.

Let's not forget Iraq,Afghan, Libya and Syria...if we don't learn lessons from these then we too will be doomed.
I wouldnt mind if you adopted me though.:smitten:
I'm sorry, I'm not angelina Julie I'll not be able to afford the luxuries a Britisher kid demands. Lolz
:)

Ciao!
