What's new

Sure, your country's plane might be newer but...

A capture of a rare Iran Air 747 SP (preparing for departure to Tehran) and an El Al Israel 767 (coming in from Tel Aviv), both in a single frame, only at Bombay CSIA ...

That's another extinct creature on our planes...

we humans destroy nature and then cry rivers abut it . we hurt every other species on earth

Yes, but it's still really sad... Once they're gone, they're gone for good.... and we'll be all the more diminished for it... Imagine if Iranians still had the lion the symbol of our nation... we destroyed even that! Thankfully they're starting to gain some awareness of that and putting the Cheetah on our football jerseys. But the killing and poaching of Leopards and other wild animals still goes on.

It seems to me that somehow the primitives, with their lack of refinements were much closer to reality than we are. Seems like somewhere along the way we went off on a tangent and need to do a course correction soon...

You know that beavers do that too. They contribute significantly into deforestation as they chew off tree trunks and also block waterways by building dams, which causes drought to certain areas.

Yeah let's kill those unhelpful beavers too... After all, if it doesn't serve our purpose, it has no purpose...

Actually, if we don't intervene, they are the 2nd best at it. Watch the documentary about Chernobyl after the nuclear disaster, they are the prime source of environmental damage there.

There were some talks with Iran few years back, an Asiatic lion- cheetah swap deal. I guess it has been put on back burner for now.

Rajasthan to be home for cheetahs - The Times of India
The deal can't go forward. The genetic diversity of Asiatic cheetah is too limited right now it would damage the genetic pool if we remove some of the cheetahs from gene pool and start another very limited pool somewhere else.

Is it ever more likely to get more diverse?
