They ridicule india because when they see that their years of propaganda in feeding their public that their country is great and India is a country of snake charmers is busting, they will have to reinforce that to continue their people to believe it. If they tell their people that open heart surgery operations are done totally free in india, their people will revolt. If they tell FIR people that Indian students are capable of solving the calculus trigonometry and many other higher mathematics problem in their schools, which their students cannot do in college, then their own people will revolt against them. They will have to keep justifying what they have fed to their people for many years.

When foreigners ridicule or scornfully dismiss Indian people's ambitions or claims of superpower, I feel so exultant. In the arcane realm of covert intelligence, such perception is an indication of how well the intelligence organization has hidden it's activities. When I hear comments like 'country of rapists', 'open defecation', 'sh1thole' etc, I feel joyful anticipation. Such remarks are backhanded compliments. An intelligence agency's job is not to build reputation but to produce desired results.

Speaking of 'praise', the word 'slumistan' has gone out of fashion. It was in vogue till the infamous 2012 Delhi rape.

I suspect RAW (India's external intelligence agency) itself has meticulously created this image of a third class country, in order to deflect attention from it's missions. When I read articles describing Indians as delusional losers I feel jubilant. The stupidity displayed by Indians is too glaring to be real - advocating cow urine and dung as solution to all problems etc. Definitely it's a camouflage.

@Bagheera India is doing great in certain areas but how you bring your intelligence agency into it, is something i didn't understand.
I don't think this is a deliberate smoke screen when,
- You are not self reliant in defense needs
- India is still a third world country and has a long way to become 2nd world and ultimately a 1st world country
- Open defecation, though being managed, is still a reality

US, France and to some extent Russia are the only countries self reliant in Defense. Our Indigenous content in defense is increasing rapidly. We have reduced our import by 25% in last 4 years.
