Why do you come up with things that never exist or will never happen?Su-35S is better than the Su-30MKI no doubt about that but it's still not justifiable for the IAF go for a completely new aircraft(Su-30MKI and Su-35S are very different having very little if not none parts commonality) even though we are selecting a new MMRCA winner and will be inducting LCA's in numbers.

Its not possible for mki's to make semi stealth. So there should be a complete new platform. But su35 is a cousin of su30,and share much things in common. we get an upgrade to 3d tvc and same mki advantages continue. Su30mki is a huge rcs beast with RCS of 20 sq mt. While su35 has 1sqm , as semi stealthy as rafale.

Because it doesn't fit to IAF requirements (single fighter, while they want twin seat for air superiority) and it is far away from beeing stealthy, don't fall on the figures on wiki that has no reliable sources!
It has some RCS reductions but is still far away from 1m², because all they could change is some more composites and RAM materials, while it is still a huge fighter with no real RCS reduction features.

Common things like?Engine is different, Radar is different, Avionics are different and most importantly the Airframe is different.

Ohh really?Just by using composite do you actually think an aircraft will achieve that much stealthiness?It's the aircraft design that matters Su-35S doesn't have cananrds and is made up of composites agreed it's better than the Su-30MKI in RCS figures but it still doesn't compare to the Rafale or 1 M^2 as you so claim.

They are meant for high endurance missions, be it in air patrol, or strike. Whit mid air refuelling MKIs can be in the air for up to 10h, which obviously is easier when you have 2 pilots. LCA is just an interceptor, with some minor multi role capabilities, that's why it has the normal 16 single seat, 2 twin seat mix in each squadron.

Hi Kinetic, I noticed that article too and was eagerly searching for an confirmation, because I am all for JV with Rheinmetall and the Skyranger, so it was interesting to read about it. AFAIK Rheinmetall was not blacklisted, only recommended, but no charges, or investigations have been laid against them.

Yeah, its not blacklisted yet, only recommended by the CBI but Antony will never go for a deal with such company as he is St. Antony and above all the govt will not do anything fishy now after recent chaos over corruptions.

I think our squadrons have 18+2 aircrafts.

It seems that we preferred new technology transfer, so we went for rafale/eft. If strike was preferred then no doubt F-18E/F would be in final race. There would not have been place for eft in fnal place.

Depends on what strike they aim on, because Rafale and EF offers Scalp / Storm Shadow cruise missiles with ranges like Brahmos will have, the US don't offer missiles with such ranges to any customer. One reason why UAE, or Saudi Arabia wanted Mirage 2000-9, or Tornado in the past besides US fighters and why they want Rafale and EF with these missiles for the future. The problem is only, EF is not useful in this role without CFTs, which increases the costs again.
