The Pakistan Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO) on Friday launched a ‘Made in Pakistan’ satellite into space from a site in China.

According to reports, Pakistan’s national space agency launched a technology evaluation satellite from a launch pad in China. All components of the satellite were developed by Pakistani engineers and scientists.

A Twitter post suggesting the same was retweeted by Deputy Chief of Mission of the Chinese Embassy in Pakistan Lijian Zhao.

Good to see local team taking up the challenge and delivering the results.
A small step towards a long and very futuristic journey.

. . .
Isn't the title bit misleading. Shouldn't the headlines be;

China Launches SUPARCO (Made In PAKISTAN) Satellite

Anyways congrats guys. :-):-):-)

Not a bit completely misleading.
PRSS-1 was completely manufactured by PRC and sold to Pakistan as it is.

PAKTES-1A was "developed indigenously" but the entire payload was subcontracted to South Africa's Space Advisory Company.

You need to have expertise on microprocessor related techs. Although unlike China, Japan & Taiwan, India doesn't have commercial fab, India has two fabs (Chandigarh & Bangalore) which produce semiconductors & high end electronics for such purposes.
Pakistan needs to have at least one such thing first to produce low end transponders.

lol reading the title i really thought pakistan launched a satellite
then there was this "site from china.

Even our city university students make a satellite which is launched by ISRO. Making a satellite is no biggie really, it is launching that makes the headlines.

Instead of wasting your calories on twisting the headline, try to launch one in real.

Yes that is correct. The optical payload/imaging system was all done in Somerset.
