So, the operation finished with Killing of 9 persons including 4 ISI Officials ( Deputy Director ISI Major Zeeshan, Asghar Ali, Azizullah and Nazeer Ahmed) , a civilian and four pigs ... According to Radio Pakistan, one attacker was arrested

50 injured including ISI officials & Rangers personnel ...

ISI office destroyed , DIG Office & Commisioner's house partially damaged

It is a shame that terrorists kill such senior officials so easily in our country ...

My bet is some clerk or subedar level person of DIG or commissioner office might have provided info to TTP. This two places are ideal for keeping an eye on ISI office.

But the major failure was letting of an explosive car in sensitive zone.

TTP is master of Psychological warfare, they knew sukkhar is a safe place so security guards would be at ease during aftari. Just like they hit kamraa base during wee hours of moring whne everyone was busy in praying for 27th shab of ramazan

As usual leaders will make speeches condemning the attack but with indirect reference to the drone attacks until such time a new incident happens and the play acting is repeated.

Funny how Nawaz Sharif has been completely absolved in this post. An intellect like yours shouldn't be doing this sir. Pasha's testimony regarding the pampering of LeJ by Punjab Government is there for all to see.

Anyways, since the elections, both the PTI and PML have drastically changed their stance on terrorism. Both are now sort of keeping quiet.

either way -- glad most of the dead were terrorists and not staff or police. These cowards think strapping bombs to their chests will put the odds in their favour; clearly they were wrong here and they just wasted their time and inevitably their lives

These are Suicide attacks, these CANNOT be stopped. Can be controlled/minimized but cannot be stopped. What will you threat a man with who have already decided to end his life?
The efficiency in these attacks is determined but the fact that have the actual targets been achieved by attackers. How much damage was done compared to how much could have been done, the rapid response on security forces, did they fought hard and prevented the terrorists in achieving there goal. If an army officer is killed in a suicide attack on an army office, don't means they cannot fight and protect us. These are amongst the very few hardships on being on the front line. All prayers for those who lost life, all respect and regard for those who fought and protect further losses!

you point out a building, you ram a car full of explosives and your partners follow in through the broken wall blasting themselves and there guns blazing! Not much intelligence is required.
I live in Faisalabad and have been born and brought up in Rawalpindi/Taxila. I know about ISI safe houses and office in both these cities so it is no surprise that TTP know them as well!

ISI has severely been targetted by the militants. It makes you wonder why. This isn't the first attack on the ISI. There have already been multiple attacks on the ISI office in Peshawar, Karachi and Lahore. Terrorists should be utterly vanquished.

Instead of eliminating the militants the security forces are running after innocents. I don't know when we look the enemy in the eye and realize he is a godamn enemy. Pakistan must find a strategy to kill Hakimullah Mehsud and crush the Taliban. (Hakimullah Mehsud is the commander of the TTP)
