Suicide bombing on military vehicle in Fatehjang

Intelligence official being taken out hmmm.. , may be they were moles and hence ISI itself took out them.

Moles....?? i think its not easy in an agency which is a offshoot of army , operated by army officers and have separate wing for spying on these officers...

This is an inside job, as the hit was precise and deadly. RIP to our brothers inshallah.

The agencies need to start to being more careful and details of movements should be revealed to only but a few. I'd go as far as to say that trackers should be planted on people and rooms should be bugged to identify the snakes amongst our midst.

hard to believe its a inside job.... i believe there must be leak of intelligence data or these guys were chased by some other rug elements...

Allah knows bro. But this is very serious.

I think judging from the rants of user Pak-one who seems educated, I will not be surprised if there are potential Pak-one like figures working in the army leaking key information to their "supposed" brethren.
Most likely hamid like punjabis in ISI are leaking info to taliban.
The credit for successful missions in Afghanistan and FATA goes to pashtuns in ISI. They are mostly from the regions where taliban dominance didnt occur e.g karak, nowshera, mardan, charsada, swabi etc. These regions supported british army just like potohar.
Though it must be remembered that these are also the regions which are strongholds of pashtun nationalism. Its pashtun nationalism which prevented talibanization of these areas. In short pashtuns in army would be o.k with anti-taliban policy, but not anti-pakhtun policy

That's actually a very good post.

For love of God can people stop blaming our Pashtun community. There are bad people in every ethnicity. I love my Pashtun brothers and we are all in this together in this hell hole which we have created for ourselves.

How do we know this is Taliban? This could be RAW.

If this is indeed Taliban's work then we should follow this up with carpet bombing of Afghanistan border towns. Do this after every terrorist incident so they understand the consequences of their actions.

We have problem with Afghan based terrorists. This is not an ethnic issues, this is an issue between 2 countries.

I'm not blaming the pasthun community as a whole. But I would prefer that we, the Potoharis, don't become a minority in our own homeland. These people are migrating to Islamabad, Pindi and Fatehjhang in buses everyday. And they don't intend to go back. It seems like they would make us a minority in Pindi-Islamabad within a few decades. What would be next then? Chakwal and Jhelum? Pakistan should be a federation like UK. By the looks of things right now, it seems as if the whole scotland migrates to england and make london a scottish speaking city.
Also my aim is not to offend people here. But I'm pretty sure, Peshawaris and Waziristanis would not like it if millions of Punjabis started settling there permanently.

Also we don't want thousands of imported deobandis in our society. When Zia wanted to punish the peaceful Gilgit Baltistani people for being ismailis, he settled thousands of pakhtuns in Gilgit and Chilas. Now those two cities are a pakhtun dominated. This influx of deobandis also wasn't good for the natives there, and now the whole place is notorious for sectarian conflict. Some years ago, a bus full of Gilgit Baltistanis was stopped in KPK, and the shiites taken out and shot dead. Gilgit Baltistanis have been peaceful and highly educated people historically, but due to the injustice that Zia brought to their homeland, a lot of them hold anti-Pakistan sentiments.

Pakistanis are free to live anywhere they want in Pakistan.

We need to hunt the Afghan immigrants and illegals. I would urge everyone to report every Afghan they spot so they can be verified if they are terrorist/illegal/criminal.

Terrorism needs to be dealt with impunity. Being soft and "dialogue" is not the solution. Every Afghan in the country needs to be checked and deported/killed/tracked. Refugee status must be revoked for them

Unless 90%+ literacy has been achieved throughout the entire country, there should be cross-provincial movement laws. Hong Kong was granted a special zone status by chinese government, so hundreds of thousands of poor, illiterate chinese do not flood the city.

And I'm not a racist. My friends from Islamabad, who migrated from Sri Nagar during the partition, also share similar sentiments. I have educated pathan friends too.

After Gilgit-Baltistan, Potohar is the most literate region in Pakistan. Chakwal, Jhelum and Rawalpindi are amongst the most literate districts. Its because we don't believe in the backwards religion of Deobandism and wahaabism. We are all either sufi or shia. And there's no animosity between the two religious communities here.

How do you expect integration with such restrictions? This will lead to provincialism and a break up.

Criminals are everywhere, this can't be helped.

For every 1 Pashtun ghaddar there are a 1000 patriots.

We need to focus on the Afghan cultural invasion and to stop this by monitoring every single Afghan in the country.

From when has being potohari become a fear-of-becoming-minority. Nationalism comes when people who have decided to live in a country together prioritize being Pakistani unlike you trying to start a Potohar party. I mean wtf? As for the afghanis, most of them have settled pretty well and prefer being called Pakistanis. The thing which matters is how are they treated or how lucky they are. if they are not discriminated and are being allowed to avail opportunities of a better lifestyle and not just selling corn and picking plastic bottles from garbage maybe they will less a threat and more a contributor in the society. This very same mindset has given us the gifts of Muhajir, baloch, sindhi and pakhtoon nationalist movements. and salute to the people who think that carpet bombing afghan border cities will bear no consequences. Solving issues gets easier when the tone and gesture is friendly.
May Allah rest the shuhadas souls in peace. As for the vehicles everyone in those areas know that these types of vehicles are used by agencies and frequent that route. seems more like an unwitting sharbat wala than an insider.

Hmmmm perhaps you guys are right. Excessive nationalism is dangerous and bad. But what do you guys think about the menace of deobandism?

Whilst I agree with your first point I completely disagree with the latter.

The situation has escalated too far. Its been nearly 10 years since terrorism started in Pak.

The soft approach no longer works because Afghanis have not integrated and the ones who have contribute by thievery, murder and extortion. They are a burden on society and have misled a number of Pakistanis towards criminality and terrorism. When someone doesn't care about the country they live in they take advantage. Go look through Afghan forums, they hate us. Not for one moment do they want to be friends. This is not good enough.

All Afghans in the country must be monitored as a matter of priority because our men are dieing.

The battle for hearts and minds is with our Pakistanis living in the tribal areas, not with Afghans living here. Deal with them impunity and make examples out of them. Outcast them, hunt them and deport them. Culturally they must be destroyed before they destroy our cultural bonds.
